When you say 'spread' it sounds like your talking about the highest and lowest
price paid over the day. So really its the volatility your talking about as the
spread here is only a fraction of one percent and at some points was close to nil.

I don't think it was mate as the pensions and liabilities were huge. Saying the broker targets were valuing it higher is one thing but Carillion was as far as I remember never thought of as undervalued it was just priced to fail which it did.

Odey reduced short yesterday.. no doubt reduced some more today -0.28% from 2.70% to 2.42%

The shorts and longs are ETFs so they don't effect the price, so just a measure of sentiment really. I think they want oil to go up so we will see.

Close was 14.81. Looks like the 60k shares was a buy as that's when the breakout happened

Yes your right but I wasn't looking at those figures the numbers I was looking at do show the after hours. As I said before its only a rough guide but to me it does at least show there was no big sell off.

As I said they are not perfect and not always right but a big sell off is evident and there wasn't one yesterday or today.

The serious money is the shorts. Over £160 million by my reckoning. Theres been no sell off yesterday or today according to the buys vs sells figures if they can be believed.
