Very interesting. When Brent got down to $29 the shareprice here only reached 17.75p However I think if Brent got down to the $40s agian most of us here will be out.

Bought more. Expect them to hold Brent down until after 4.30 then it should rise !

Off book is an order placed with the market makers then they put it through when they want to. So the time stamp is probably not when the order was placed. Sometimes you see 2 trades that match which is a buy and a sell order thats been matched by the market makers. According to the total stock on loan on Euroclear in the whole month of January the stock out on loan only increased by just under half a percent !

The latest company update said 2019 guidance remains the same. Surely there are too many moving parts here to predict 2019 earnings, especially with the transformational plan and CMA review in play. The shareprice here is clearly being determined by uncertainty and that is why it is too cheap.

Since when did the market ever react on API they are just using it as an excuse for the pull back.

I don't think anything 'big' has happened yet. Wait until they get just a whiff of another player sniffing around looking to snap up a bargain all those accounts and maybe some of the RBS accounts too.

I think the CMA is done and dusted. I noticed a lot of buying just after the consultation period finished. All the while the shorts have been increasing. I think they are probably wrong. The only reason this is not at £10 right now is because of the CMA and the shorters.

I was using the total stock on loan figures which is quite a bit more than the declared shorts over 0.5% From those numbers it is actually £169 million but I took a bit off as a few could have closed by now.
I don't expect them all to close but even half would make a really good short squeeze. Some of the shorts were taken out over £35 so its just a matter of how much profit they make really.

By my calcs there is over £150m worth of shorts here, so could be quite a squeeze !
