The total stock on loan ( ie shorts under 0.5% ) was 3.99% at end of Jan 19 I will post an update for end Feb when I get the numbers. On the Comex Gold net long positions were up massively on Friday. So it looks like speculators are quite bullish on gold !

I think the market cap is high enough for them to get the placing away could be another Kier which has been a beaut after the placing ! There is a new broker rating today at £7.90

I want to know the same thing, there was some talk on here last year re Kraken switching from burning Crude to LNG for the heaters.

What I was questioning earlier is if anyone knows if the issues are with the FPSO itself or the nature of the heavy crude at Kraken I understand it is more difficult to extract and needs a lot of heat to get it flowing.

I think with shale its quite apparent that it has government backing ( somehow ) if this is known by the majors why wouldn't they want to take part if the risk is nationalized but profit is privatized.
Regarding Kraken did anyone manage to establish if its the FPSO that is struggling or the nature of the heavy crude being difficult to extract that is causing the constrained production rates ? I notice Catcher FPSO is over performing so why is Premier Oil being shorted hugely and Enquests shorts are very low ?

Big crude draw Gasoline and Commercial too Oil to go higher I could see Brent back in the 70s quite soon.

Aha so you can lend out those certificates at 3%. Just pulling your leg, although that would be possible. I think you just post your views here and sometimes that is not as positive as some people would like a bit like the shareprice.
Lets hope for that POG breakout. As I said before there is a lot of speculative net long interest on the Comex so Gold price should be going higher.

I use euroclear to look at total stock on loan. ( PFC was 11.49% end of Jan 19 ) You do have to register I didn't pay when I joined but it was some time ago.

Re Berenberg 500 target I think its VERY likely with Oil recovering we will see this in the mid to high 500s by this summer.

Search for Comex Gold net long positions I think the site you want is m uk investing.com It will show you the speculative net long positions in Gold 109.4k contracts a big increase from last week !

Net long positions on Gold are the highest I've seen them at over 100k contracts I would expect to see Gold over $1350 an Oz soon, a decent breakout above $1380 and I don't think you will be waiting 2 years.

Very odd price action towards the close couldn't buy but could sell at quotes around 93.9 then it jumped up to 96.4 to buy then we had the large UT at 96.16. Could this be mates rates market maker action ?
