But hes the biggest shorter of Metro him and Marshall Wallace have got over 5% short on Metro so I'm out until the rights issue is done.

Do you seriously think the RI or placing will not be at a considerable discount. Its being underwritten so they are taking a risk and need to mitigate that risk with the discount as happened at Kier. Which was a great buy after the RI but not before ! The directors are desperately trying to pump the shareprice up with their pathetic stock purchases. The percentage of shorts are up too as they will just buy the discounted RI shares to cover ! Heads they win tails they win !

There is a load more shorts below 0.5% each. This is good as they all have to buy back ! Odeys fund is worth $4Billion and now they are betting against him..oh dear.

For what its worth and I mean this with the greatest respect. If I was investing that sort of money I would spread it around a bit, different sectors looking for Alpha but with Divis as well. Something like LLOY, CEY, PFC, DTY, SBRY, KAZ, CRST, PMO

I would if I knew what elucidate meant. Shorts above 0.5% are 3.41%. I also look at the total stock on loan ( euroclear ) which was 13.37% Dec 18 17.55% Jan 19 and 19.56% at end Feb 19

If you've got a calculator and a spare 2 hours then yes. I'm sure its well over a tenner !
When there are loads of other shorters here he wouldn't need to short himself but he had been feeding some of his holding into the fall.

Exactly we all know that Kraken is not up to full speed so now we suspect they are working on something ( or hooking up DC4 ) not the time to panic sell when 50k could be on again soon just in time for summer driving season !

I think he is being very clever, he loves a gamble so I reckon either he or his mates want the company. The FCA will do what they do ( possibly nothing ) whats the worst that could happen a small fine ? Not a problem. This guy threw away £2million on bets at the bookies he knew ( hoped ) he was going to loose !

The total stock on loan is actually up from 11.49% in Jan to 11.64% end Feb
I don't think we have seen the big move up here yet !

How many of thease are you still holding ? I don't like whats going on here at the moment, the short position has increased to a very high level again we know there is something brewing in the background and its usually us holders who get shafted ! I think the sidelines are looking rather appealing right now.

Yes they do have over 30% of the voting rights. The CFDs they have in this case have voting rights attached they must have paid extra for this.

They have been closing on Petrofac too. I expect they know Oil price is going to rise over the spring summer so they don't want to be short of these two companies when they are at rock bottom prices.

I'm sure Odey knows more about it than I do but I do find in intriguing that he now has control of over 30% of the voting rights. I wonder if this could land him in hot water with the FCA take over panel ?
