I’ve mentioned a similar situation with Sirius minerals on this board last week. I’ve been in sareum for 8 years, albeit with a much smaller holding than most. When the death spiral was happening with Sirius many “invested” commenters were giving it billy big balls on how they wouldn’t sell their shares for a lowball offer. Lo and behold,an RNS was released saying Anglo American were offering 2p a share, either take it and accept a loss or the company goes under. The people with the biggest mouths on the BB were the first to sell. I’m seriously concerned where we are heading now,it all looks too familiar,I genuinely hope I’m incorrect with my read on the situation. Another thing to add, despite all the links that get posted on here telling us we are worth more than this deal or that deal,it’s not how things work sometimes. If we get taken out for a pittance, our scientists will be well taken care of with a continuity deal by the buyers,us PI’s are cash cows, nothing more nothing less. Sareum may well have ground breaking compounds that in the future may make billions, just like Sirius, which will end up a multi billion £ producer, the big question is,will us investors get a piece of the pie or will we be gazumpted.
I’ve also seen it before, with Sirius minerals. Same situation, great product but ran out of money allowing Anglo American to swoop in and pay fook all for the company leaving shareholders bent over with their pants down. The Aussie rat chris fraser who was the ,man behind Sirius lost nothing through the deal, still involved with the company through Anglo. At the end of the day the CEO’s of AIM companies don’t give a damn about how they get to the end product, anybody thinking they give a shoit about us investors are very naive. If this gets bought out with a lowball offer, our board will be well taken care of,that’s a fact.
I read an article last night where a team of Americans and Canadians have developed a new antibiotic to fight untreatable superbugs via AI. The gist of it said, the AI narrows down to a few drug possibilities what should work. IMO in the near future AI is taking over in biotech and pharmaceuticals, scary thought but true.
Fraser was nothing more than a snake oil salesman Matty. I lost a good few £ in sxx,I’m also local to the mine,if I ever see the guy doing a pr talk or similar I will personally embarrass the guy,he’s hated around these parts for what he did.
You sound like my type of guy SOG. I learnt new skills and started my own fab business 4 years ago. My father in law asked me a few weeks ago while having a pint if I could go back and work for somebody else. The instant answer was no,like I told him, nobody and I mean nobody will ever speak down to me in business ever again. I call a spade a spade and would tell them to get hooked straight to their face,be it a manager or owner, they’d get the same response.
Great to hear it’s in remission notalot. In a similar position with my wife, everything good in life 6 weeks ago,her tummy swelled up,many appointments and scans to find out there’s a mass on one of her ovaries. Surgery went well yesterday, full hysterectomy including appendix and lymph nodes. Now a 3 week wait for the biopsy results,it’s broken me seeing her like this, she’s only 43.
I’ve just got home from West Africa today,a lot of the population is vaccinated, that I know for a fact. Very little mask wearing anywhere, especially in the crowded city centre. Cases are VERY low so maybe something in Thoths theory,if we were crowded in like I witnessed the last 6 days we would get smashed with new cases.
I’m in the same boat with anxiety WIP. It hit me like a brick about 5 years ago and it’s basically taken my previous life from me. I was always active, climbing big cliffs to Fish shore matches, kitesurfing and a few other things. Now my brain gives me a 1000 reasons not to go do these things,it really sucks,I sympathise with you.
The fact that they haven’t issued a speeding ticket must be yet another sign of confidence from the team. Good luck all,I’ve only been in this share 2 years and on a much smaller scale than most, but still exciting to be in it after loosing a decent chunk in Sirius minerals.
Not invested here but I’ve been keeping an eye on this share for a while, hopefully you all get the results you want. Just a quick word of warning RE Jonesrichard,he was on the Sirius minerals BB when I was invested there, the bloke is an absolute clown, don’t listen to a word he says.
Duracell... Pepsi own walkers crisps along with a few other brands. I had family that worked at the Peterlee factory before they closed it down a couple of years ago,a good company to work for so I am told, every employee got offered shares in Pepsi as a yearly bonus, the clever ones who worked there for years and never sold any are sat on a tidy nest egg now.
John, I have an email alert set up.
Major holdings RNS released.
