Innova accounts for almost half the £7.4billion spent on home Covid testing and it is the mainstay of Britain's testing regime – though, as the Daily Mail reported last year, the US Food and Drug Administration has snubbed the firm's lateral flow tests.

It urgently recalled Innova's tests last year and told people to throw them 'in the trash' – and they are not used across the Atlantic.

Innova's UK spokesman confirmed that the tests sold to Britain are of the same type but insisted they are effective, having satisfied British official requirements.

Experts in the UK have, though, questioned the quality of the Chinese-made tests.

New start for Odx in 2020 world wide shortage of lft’s and the imo (unfortunately)the pandemic has only just started.

A leading car manufacturer has made provisions for up to 20% of its work force being off tomorrow and expect this to go on for some time.

3?? Prof. Tim Peto’s suggestion that the UK did not have a record of producing lateral flow tests is contestable.

• The UK has an experienced and mature diagnostic industry making LFTs for decades
• At Omega, we massively scaled-up capacity for UK Govt to utilise

. We have submitted all of the information, and answered all questions as part of the desktop review
• We still await the conclusion of that process
