Agree SBTX would certainly have provided input to the Keegan Report; regarding the discrepancy in the financial figures, suspect that would be down to Singer but SA really should have checked the report for inaccuracies before its release but as we have seen from previous RNS transcription errors, he most certainly is not a Completer/Finisher!
One non-financial part of the broker note that is also debatable and hence will have led to a slower uptake in Zenakine in the Broker assumptions is their view that Zenakine will be complimentary to Matrixyl rather than a replacement.
"Zenakine is designed to fit seamlessly into a wide range of skincare formulations due to its 100% natural origin, water solubility, and
compatibility with cold processes. Its eco-socio-responsible profile is strong, with a CSR score of 75.7% based on environmental and social
metrics. Recommended for inclusion at 3%, it is particularly suited for “neurosensory cosmetics” that align with daily self-care rituals—such as
sleeping masks, mists, and serums—enhanced by neuro-substantiated fragrances. Zenakine positions itself as both a technical innovation and
an emotional well-being enhancer, bridging beauty and mental wellness in a single active.
Thus, Zenakine is not expected to be a like for like replacement for Matrixyl, a trademarked blend of peptides, specifically Palmitoyl tripeptide-1
and Palmitoyl tetrapeptide-7, used in skincare products, produced by Croda. We view Zenakine as a complementary approach. It stimulates
the production of collagen and elastin, key structural proteins in the skin that help maintain its firmness and elasticity. By boosting collagen
and elastin, Matrixyl can help to reduce the appearance of wrinkles, improve skin texture, and promote a more youthful complexion"
Well if they believe Matrixyl is needed to boost collagen production then they have overlooked the following from the technical slides on Zenakine;
"Zenakine promotes the neosynthesis of extracellular matrix components, stimulating skin regeneration. At 3 %, it increases the production of: - Collagen I by 36 % * and collagen IV by 67 %* - Fibronectin by +20 %* and laminins by 26 %*
