On low volumes if you're not worried about the cost of each trade I'd say it's fairly easy to use this kind of manipulation to stop the share price rising. Could of course be someone who set 33p as their sell target, however why not just sell the whole lot in one go then instead of paying 21 trading charges. I'm obviously no expert (JMAX will definitely agree) , however does seem suspicious and you see this a lot with this share.

These are payments to the county government. The county government seems to have put the money in the general pot, or stolen it, rather than given it to the displaced people who were on the land. They’ve asked Tullow to clarify what the payments were for and there is no financial settlement required by Tullow or claim if wrong doing against them.

"i wanted to talk a little bit about our recent performance. so if we can move on to that, please. so since the start of the year, i'll start with the operational performance. we've seen good delivery on our drilling program. we got 3 jubilee wells that were brought on stream in q1 and a further 2 wells are we're planning to bring them on stream this quarter.

once again, production efficiency has been very high. it's been tracking in the high 90s. we indicated in the statement this morning, the group production was in line with expectations in q1 at about 66,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day. though i just want to flag with you that jubilee is kind of tracking lower than expected and ten has been outperforming. for the year, we are reiterating today our guidance of 62,000 to 69,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day.

now interestingly, the net paid reservoir properties very much have been on prognosis, but what we're seeing in some of the new wells is that the full impact of the water injection is not yet reaching these wells, so we're looking to see how we optimize the pressure support. so that's kind of one of the drivers for guiding the production towards lower end of the range. also in april, we had some temporary interruptions to water injection that was caused by problems with a gas turbine compressor that's been addressed, but this is likely to have, again, some impact in the short term. if you take a step back, jubilee, obviously, is an excellent field. our conviction around the resource remains."

if i'm wrong and you can post a link that proves production is in the 80's at jubilee based on liftings data i apologies, else i reiterate that you're talking ****e and should shut it as you have no idea what the current production numbers for jubilee are.

No but please enlighten the rest of us plebs on here how you turn a company with a mountain of debt, no cash plus aging and declining assets (all in dodgy fairly unstable countries I might add) into a BP or a Shell overnight .... and no I don't think Tullow will ever get to that size. The reality is you need to wake up, as you must have seen by now that even when oil goes up 20% TLW doesn't go up and in fact sometimes even goes down. You surely must of seen by now that the market controls the share price and moves it up and down by 20 to 30% at will fleecing those long and short in the process. Movements not even based on any news or fundamentals. Surely by now you must of seen that Rahul isn't going to get voted out. Surely you must of seen by now that your TLW shares will probably not make you rich. I think you need to wake up, as this is a long term play with a long shot at chance of a bonus along the way if Kenya comes off.

I do get how people are frustrated with the share price and I am too, however what I don’t see is people posting any suggestions on what Rahul should be doing. The company was a whisker away from bust when he took it over, had a mountain of debt, aging assets and very little cash. Some would argue that is still the case, so what is he supposed to do…. no money to buy new assets so you can only work with what you’ve got and we’ve not got a lot. Posting constant negativity will not encourage new investors and at the end of the day that is the only thing that will get the share price up.

As for Kenya, people on here say heads must roll as the deal is not done yet and dragging on. However, as recently as last week the masses were setting the parliament building on fire. Maybe, just maybe Rahul doesn’t actually know what is happening as it’s chaos over there at the moment. They would never report that to the market, so once they have something concrete we’ll hear about it.

End of the day, in profit or loss, if you chose to hold you should be positive about the company else you should just get out and find another share you are positive about. No amount of moaning is ever going to make any difference and Rahul isn’t going anywhere.

scrodingerscat please quote your sources for you production numbers. yes, wells are below expectations as they were expecting 120kbopd and is only at 100kbopd. this was in the year end results presentation and why rahul stated they were below expectations.

you're quoting the jefferies article from late last year before year end results or the impact of the new wells was published. you even call jefferies numpties, but selectively believe what they say when it suits your argument. yet i'm the one that doesn't have critical thinking. again, please quote some recent sources to substantiate your claims or i suggest you stop posting ****e.

We don't have figures for 2024 but know there were water injection issues that have been resolved and additional wells came online. Also, based on the guidance for 2024 we assume we're producing at least 100kbopd at Jubilee. that is a 40% increase on the daily production average for the first half of the year. That is quite some turnaround on a field that was in serious decline. Yet somehow you extrapolate that production is down, post it all over the internet and then wonder why the share price isn't rising. You and Gingy would both be better off just selling and moving on.

One day someone needs to seize Tullow for £1 a share .....
