RE: Weeks on and still the same drool on here.2 Jul 2024 14:20
Scrodingerscat ..... let's leave Rahul's performance out for a moment and let's fact check your claim that Rahul has failed to increase production at Jubilee. I don't have numbers for 2024, so let's look at 2023, knowing that new wells came online around July.
Prd Oil Production (bbl)
January 2023 2,402,046
February, 2023 1,993,443
March, 2023 2,105,550
April, 2023 1,997,685
May, 2023 2,138,846
June, 2023 2,475,623
July, 2023 2,760,625
August, 2023 3,036,877
September, 2023 3,028,518
October, 2023 2,982,914
November, 2023 2,743,738
December, 2023 2,778,352
The total production for the first six months, Jan to Jun, is 13,113,193 bbl so an average of 72, 051 bopd. Now look at the average per day for each month for the second half of the year and the percentage increase against the average per day for the first 6 months.
bopd % increase on daily average for 1st 6 months
July, 2023 89,052 24%
August, 2023 97,964 36%
September, 2023 100,951 40%
October, 2023 96,223 34%
November, 2023 91,458 27%
December, 2023 89,624 24%
We don't have figures for 2024 but know there were water injection issues that have been resolved and additional wells came online. Also, based on the guidance for 2024 we assume we're producing at least 100kbopd at Jubilee. that is a 40% increase on the daily production average for the first half of the year. That is quite some turnaround on a field that was in serious decline. Yet somehow you extrapolate that production is down, post it all over the internet and then wonder why the share price isn't rising. You and Gingy would both be better off just selling and moving on.
