Yeah, I'm not really sure, however the company was focussed on growing its business in China and then it launched the updated market favorite (Microtox LX) - timing was right to sell/buy - plus news stopped dead around April/May, when it launched.

It took us 8 months to sell our business from initial inquiry, so the timing fits.

I have a good feeling about the membrane side of the business, like it's taking off, now that they have the major project references.

The monitoring side is done and dusted, I recall this process from when we sold, I was just talking to Deloitte for months, going through stock numbers, literature, domain ownership, supply agreements and 7 years of accounts! Can take a while.

Sale price is often agreed first, then due diligence is carried out. I know, I've done it. Doesn't take long to work out with a spreadsheet and calculator. The tough part is satisfying the audit and insurer.

The membrane business is a license model with IP and patents, not a garage full of water testing kit. That business has obviously now been sold.

It's clear that there are multiple large businesses with that same registered address, yet you pick the solicitors and find a specialty from a great long list. Total bell. Give it up, city boy.
