I think the jobs offered here - https://www.indeed.co.uk/Centrica-jobs are very well paid and give you an idea of what they are doing to change the company to being consumer focussed. Also like the pension specialist position - not just about plugging holes with asset sales, although a bloody big one will be filled with Direct Energy sale.

Not looking for £1 - just a fair price for a very good business that needs TLC, which is what is finally happening.

In terms of the company valuation, I cannot see it impacting, it's far too beaten up. Green shoots are appearing. It has a clear path into the future. It's not all British Gas.

Is about EV, Hive, Data and upstream gas. The engineer issue is minor - 2,700 engineers * a generous £80,000 pay off is still buttons Vs mcap and potential.

This has surely got to push on now - with the $32m raise, the return on capital employed at these gold price levels are very attractive

Agreed, OP up and clearly Centrica know how to manage a sale.

The EV picture and position for CNA is very interesting, nowhere near as oil dependant as Shell/BP but has same early move advantage. It's not all about British Gas here.

If you can sell the other oil asset (which is possible with $50 brent and OPEC playing nicely together) we could see a big change here.

Electric (deal with Vauxhall and European based companies) Hive + British Gas X = future of the business. Engineers are important but are weighing us down in their current numbers and structure.

Would not like to say about how they are currently being treated, although I spoke to the guy fitting my hive and he said it's mainly about seasonal contracts. It's a shame they cannot ask the teams to specialise in something like EV charging too, which would give employees more strings to their bows and out of season purpose.
