Hi All π
Just my thoughts, regarding some of the comments on this board on the recent downturn in the share price.
Expectations of the interest rate cycle turning lower, however banks have structural hedges, so the downturn in interest rates shouldn't have a major impact on Net Interest Margin for a few years.
Share prices have seen a big rally over the last few years, however the share price of the banks was very low, PE around 5\6, recent share price gains have the banks on fair value rather than expensive in my humble opinion.
I bought barclays stock, very recently in the anticipation of the share price rising on the back of full year results, increase in ROTE, share buyback, rising dividend etc.
Since nothing fundamental has changed, I shall continue to hold onto my recent purchase & wait for a better selling opportunity.
Please DYOR
