8t was from the old tailings, the rest was taken from existing veins within the mine and could have anything in them as un-mined before.

i would hope that the details of the samples are published separately so the actual gold content is not diluted by the tailings

there's two options, either they haven't found any gold, or they have found gold in various locations and they are sampling to get a better understanding of the bigger picture to release the information to help give a better valuation to the asset.

i'm happy to wait either way at the moment as my main reason for investing is Greenland which is going to take a while anyway

the processing plant crusher can process 3 t/hour, however i believe the concentrator is limited to 1.5t/hour, its worth noting that they will be processing additional materials that they dig out as per previous RNS and the video Q&A. the sampling will be a continual process.

the 36t should have been processed and i'd assume Alba are awaiting the Assay results, if they don't have the news then they cant really say much until they do.

seems a little odd, everyone is waiting for news i suppose

your stock holding is impressive and makes my lowly 1.3m seem like nothing, lets home for some good news over the next year or so

Who knows when the next rns will be, it will come when they have the results to give us, until then we will have to wait,

I’m hoping for grades similar to the historical grades of 17g/t but I may be dissapointed, either way, news and grades of gold can only be a good thing. If the RNS isn’t this coming week I’m sure it won’t be too long into April

when they have something to say i'm sure they will

Alba have an obligation under the rules to inform shareholders of good news as well as bad news once they have it via an RNS.
so if they have not produced an RNS then they are still waiting for the results and cant publish anything, even if they know there is a lot of visible gold in the concentrate they will have produced for assaying

we will all just have to wait and see what is reported,

Yes, some may sell if it’s not what they wanted, and of course some may also buy if the price doesn’t rise to some people’s expectations in the short term, that’s what happens, but we will have to wait and see, fortunately I’m here for the long haul so whilst the bulk sampling results could be poor or fantastic but interesting either way they won’t make any difference to what I do.

They obviously hit a nuggety zone with their drilling to get this figure which is lucky, drilling is a bit like a lucky dip and it isn’t a representative grade of the whole mine/mineable material that’s why Alba are also taking bulk samples to get a more representative/averaged g/t from different areas, GF has mentioned they will process hundreds of tons during the exploration phase. Historically the mine averaged 17g/t with some pockets showing far less, and some pockets showing up to 4.5oz/t

Only time will tell, but clogau is only one asset on the whole gold belt, the whole gold belt being the bigger picture in wales, and of course Greenland which is one for the future too

You are correct GF did say that even if the results from the 36t bill sample are fantastic that there is a much bigger picture in play which is the identification of the new quartz veins and lodes for commercial production

Bulk Sampling
The upcoming work at the Mine will be focused on extracting several bulk samples from target areas within the existing mine development. As the gold at Clogau is highly nuggety and contained in narrow quartz veins, bulk sampling is typically deployed in order to obtain a representative idea of gold content across a particular vein or zone.
The bulk sampling exercise will be undertaken in conjunction with the underground rock chip sampling, channel sampling and drilling programmes. The Company will look to extract several tonnes of material from each of a number of target zones.
This work is directly aimed at identifying unexploited gold zones and known payshoot extensions within the Mine which will support a decision to reopen the Mine for long-term commercial production.

RNS 7th September confirmed bulk sampling had started
RNS 5th October confirmed 12 tonnes extracted from the 4 target areas mentioned on14th August
RNS 21st October
- The Jack Williams stope floor has been stripped back and stockpiled as a large bulk sample (estimated to weigh about eight tonnes). This material would have built up on the stope floor during previous periods of mining.
Holes will be drilled into the Jack Williams stope by airleg drill to facilitate the in-situ bulk sampling of the lode (or vein) system, expected to be the final bulk samples collected during the current programme.

RNS 3rd November
Alba has successfully completed its underground bulk sampling programme, with seven bulk samples taken for a total of 36 tonnes of material

so it would appear that 8 tonnes of the bulk sample is old chippings form the floor of one area of the mine and the remaining 28t is from existing quartz vein shoots,

when we get the results from the 36t bulk sample we will have a better idea of what's there without any ambiguity, the results are due Q1 so not long now

over the next 2 weeks from monday we will see various news/tweets/articles promoting Alba in anticipation of the RNS and Assay results (if they publish the Assay results) the anticipation will puss the share price back to where it was to about 0.5 to 0.55, I anticipate the RNS to be released on or around the 23rd to 25th March, if they are really good and as expected by all of us then i can see the price moving up to around 0.9 to 1.1p over the next week or so, if not so good then i think the price will flatline and will rely on other news to keep shareholder sentiment. just my thoughts but could be wrong
