you are correct, so far core hole 10 has had no details published apart for the length of the intersects highlighted in the RNS earlier this year.

in total i worked out there was over 500 kg of Quartz ore taken from the core hole. i cant find anywhere that says specifically that the samples went to Assay, however i would have assumed it would have

Hole No. 10 still has to be published assuming that they will assay the samples, in total there was over 500kg of quartz taken in the he samples from the single drill

The RNS on 12th March was predominantly around hole 10

lucky for some, i'm still 28% down, but slowly looking better

Nothing really changes though, we will have to wait for the results and then see which way things go over the next year or two

i had thought that myself, although he has lowered our expectations on the bulk samples even though no official numbers have been produced, these will only be produced as and when the assays are completed following the processing. there was still 21t to be processed which is still the lions share, and of course if they had been processing the first batches from the mine floor as opposed to the samples cut from the targeted veins then you would expect poorer initial results.
and i agree these things do happen

we can only wait and see what the results are, although personally i would have thought they would have taken some small samples for viewing themselves before deciding to go to the expense for some official assays to be carried out.

There was a28.8% buyers fee so that would have added 4.6k taking it up to 20.6k, then we have vat, assuming it’s a reduced rate on the item of 5% if it’s classed as second hand that would add £800 and then there would be the normal 20% cat on the buyers fee of 4.6k which would ass a further £921

So total cost would be
16000 cost
4.6k buyers fee
5% vat on 16k = 800
20% vat on 4.6k = 921

£22.521k total price assuming the reserve was met

I fell your pain, my average is 0.41 and 2.8m shares, not the biggest of holdings compared to some, but it does hurt. i'm holding to see how things pan out over the next 12 months or so. - yep i know its a risk, but i still think the findementals are there.

there are some positive statements, however there deosn't appear to be any new news, i suppose this is what we get when people chase the CEO for an update when maybe they aren't ready to issue a proper one, patience is the key here

i do like to quote word for word when quoting other people, Laddersup mentioned GF quoted "Don't focus on the current bulk sample - it's only 36T ...... but it will be processed and the results, good or bad, will be RNS. BUT don't loose focus because this [current bulk sample] is not ALBAs focus...."

What GF quoted was in fact very similar, but not exactly the same.

"the 36t is a drop in the ocean, the fact that we have a 36t sample we hope to recover decent amounts of gold in it, we don't want people to lose focus here, because we (ALBA) haven't. the bigger picture here is lets find a zone or more than one zone within the mine that will have a significant gold that's never been exploited before, its these zones we are really looking for"

The focus is to identify new zones/areas to mine, the bulk sample is only a small part of the overall process, and yes, i too am frustrated no results have been published, however he has also mentioned that the results of the bulk sample will be released together with other results.

i look forward to seeing the results when they are published.

i am still confident we will see some good results along with a better overview of the quartz veins/lodes and their size to enable a value to be put to the asset, then shortly afterwards if all goes well we should get the ok to dewater the mine and then start work in greenland.

in the last placing in November 2020 Alba raised £1.2m this was to fund the following which from what i can see is pretty much everything that will happen this year

The proceeds from the Placing will be used to accelerate value-enhancing activities across the Company's project portfolio including some or all of the following:

At the Clogau-St David's Gold Mine in Wales:

- Phase 2 of the Company's underground drilling, bulk sampling and pilot processing programme;

- Phase 3 of the Company's surface drilling programme, targeting further projected extensions to known payshoots;

- Dewatering of the Llechfraith mine area to allow for underground exploration and development; and

- Commencement of the formal impact assessments which will form part of the planning application for the reopening of the Mine for commercial production.

At the Dolgellau Gold Exploration Project in Wales:

- Further phases of the surface trenching programme, targeting some of the 10 regional gold targets discovered by the Company in its 2019 regional soil sampling programme; and

- Re-interpretation of the historic regional aeromagnetic data using modern analytical software.

At the Gwynfynydd Gold Mine in Wales

- Reconnaissance site expeditions over the mine area and in-mine risk, safety and rehabilitation surveys;

- Re-interpretation of the historical dataset and integration into Alba's 3D geological model for the entire Dolgellau Gold Field; and

- Ground-based geochemical and geophysical field programme seeking extensions to the Mine workings.

In relation to the Company's Greenland assets:

- Signing contracts and making down-payments to secure the key service providers (drilling, geology, logistics, transportation) who will be engaged to carry out the Company's planned drilling programmes at Thule Black Sands ("TBS") Ilmenite and Amitsoq Graphite; and

- Further process engineering and laboratory testwork to refine the saleable products from both TBS Ilmenite and Amitsoq Graphite.

All work activities are subject to timely receipt of regulatory and third-party approvals and contractor availability. The proceeds from the Placing will also be used for general working capital purposes.
