so far as i understand it, and i could be wrong, but if an offer for a product is made the BOD can make a decision themselves based on what they think is in the best interests of the business, but if an offer is made for the company they have to inform the shareholders and give their recommendation

This is normal practice for a public body to ask for further information and extend the deadline, it’s a case of Alan providing the info so the can do an assessment if it’s not already been done, personally I don’t think it’s anything to be too concerned with

Alba have not published any exact dates yet, they have only said the new company will be up and running asap, and the IPO will be carried out as soon as they are able to. Alba are currently carrying out additional exploration to firm up the resource, however it has not been made clear if the true vale of the asset will be known/detailed prior to the new company taking control of the asset. either way, Alba as the majority share holder (and subsequently us) will benefit form any price rises either way. the whole purpose of the separate company is to realise the true value of the asset andtake it to production without any fund raising being done by Alba.

its best to own 100% of the asset prior to shoring up its true value, its the lowest cost option and ensures no outside interference from third parties.

Alba sent through their application at the beginning of January, therie were then subsequent requests for information which were replied to by Alba, a lot of information was requested and supplied

On 18th March there was sufficient information to accept the application and the application was duly made on this date.
so far as i can tell there have not been any objections made public (although as i understand it all correspondence should be made public unless confidentiality is requested, which looking at the application form was not sought initially),

there have been no further requests for information which is a positive sign, as objections would have required clarification and potentially more information being provided.

So all going well we should hear shortly and within the timescales initially indicated (jut my opinion)

unfortunately the 4 months is the limit they set themselves, this is the wording from the application confirmation in March to Alba: - Alba's application was a bespoke one

? for transfer or partial transfer of an environmental permit within two months;
? for a standard permit (except for installations); minor or normal variation or surrender or partial surrender of an environmental permit within three months;
? for a standard permit for an installation, a bespoke permit or substantial variation to a permit (with public participation) within four months.
We want to give you a decision as quickly as possible, but the time it takes depends on what’s in the application. We may need to agree a longer timescale with you:
? if the application is complex;
? if we need to ask you for more information about the technical aspects of your application;
? if there’s a considerable level of interest from the public or other organisations.

I would agree it would be good to have a bit more clarity, however I have to accept that if ALBA are satisfied then I am at this stage.

Has anyone emailed Alba to ask them why they publish data from concentrate and don['t disclose the weight of ore the concentrate come from

I think we need to accept that these are great results and that there is an awful lot of gold in the mines still to be mined in the future, yep, as some people have pointed out the grades are from concentrate, however the grades from the WASTE pit were not and were still very substantial in their own right, far exceeding the grades that make a mine viable.

It is all adding up nicely in Wales and bodes well for the future

I would rather believe the words of an exploration company than someone who hides behind a made up name on here who could well be the kid I bought my macdonanld's off over the weekend
