The market is looking beyond 2018 re Lloyds. And I agree with an earlier point made, the dividend increases may have been lower than some were anticipating, as they don't want to cut.

The UK has been reduced to an utter laughing stock, and if you see it differently, time to wake up. There was going to be another recession regardless of Brexit. This expansion now in its 9th year, so it may be in its last innings, Or somewhere near. Need to factor in how you think LLOY will navigate the next downturn. Will they be able to grow dividends through a UK recession?.

If you want UK exposure to a domestic bank, then Lloyds fits the bill. I've mentioned in the past there appears a lot of complacency, given the current share price there is arguably a little less. If Brexit does turn nasty, then the keys of No 10 are handed to Labour. Like everyone else, I hope the UK continues to thrive longer term.

With the greatest of respect try applying basic maths. This buy back is a very small % of the total shares in issue. HMG have stopped selling and are out of Lloy, Now Lloy are Buying back shares - but the share price is still falling.

As you have it all so wonderfully worked out, Keep buying Lloyds, it's going to thrive in this great brave new world, the price could double?. Or may be not, my guess is NOT!!.

You keep harping on about the buy back as if it's some newly discoverd majical formula - it's insignificant in terms of the issued share capital, particularly when extra shares are issued to cover exec compensation.

There has been no Brexit yet, we don't know what the consequences will be. But it's not looking great is it?, The economy has slowed to crawl speed, with GDP growing at 0.1% in Q1. The UK has gone from the fastest growing G7 economy, to the slowest. If you think Brexit will be beneficial to the UK in economic terms, then LLOY is presenting you with a gift atm imv.

Keep in mind the UKX is at record levels, so any wider market weakness may not help Lloy- that's an understatement imv.

Strong Sell as clouds are gathering.over longer term UK economic prospects. Just imv only, DYOR- etc.

A bounce perhaps near 60 pence, however my best guess(and that's all it is) well in to the 50's. If we look at the current scenario- HMG selling complete, a buy back in process, PPI end in sight, rising dividends, yet still the SP remains moribund. Why is that?, It's the UK economy slowing quickly imv, Watch impairments on the next update.

LLOY is inextricablely linked to the health of the UK economy. Mentioned previously there is far too much complacency on the longer term dividend outlook. With bounces along the way, lower here we come.

I think they may available quite a bit cheaper than current levels.

The buy back represents about 2% of issued share capital, Before you allow for the extra shares issued for options. It's really not even worth discussing.
