General Election on a mandate for a stronger Brexit negotiation position, not alone did the electorate Not increase her majority, they swiftly removed it. Whether people agree or not, the window for a hard Brexit was firmly shut by the electorate, there is no longer a majority to support this in the HoC. It the economy takes a bit, many will blame the Tory Party, not the EU. It's unfair as this was a cross party issue, but in most people's minds, the Tory Party own Brexit.

Buy backs can create huge value - the best UK example is Next Plc, who have bought back around 40% net, of their share capital over a number of years. They only buy back when certain criteria are met, in terms of valuation etc. For Lloyds as a highly cyclical business, of more interest to longer term holders may be their ability(or not) to hold the dividend through the next downturn. I've mentioned several times there appears a lot of complacency about. Many investors have forgotten that recessions are regular occurrences.

Is what now appears to be emerging. How long before more people start questioning, what is the point of leaving?. It's now very clear we will be so heavily aligned to the EU, well in the next decade.
