That was the level some of the TA guys are watching, it held Friday, sliced trough today.

Was my best guesstimate before the end of August, only approx 2% away from 60 pence atm.

We are 9 years in to a bull market, the second longest in duration post WW11. There may be ample opportunities to add lower down IMV, if you are so inclined. The buy back is removing so little of the issued shares capital it really does not merit that much attention. It is however useful in countering dilution created by the very generous share bonus plans. And it is worth keeping in mind there are years of these bonus plans to come, dumping extra issuance on the market. While Lloyds may Not be in a position to initiate a buy back on an annual basis.

Looks underway. The Lloyds share price already deep in bear market territory, falling from the 89 pence high. However lower levels looming large if the UKX now sells off, all just IMV only.

Lloyds shareholders continue to pay a huge price in SP terms. The UK was leading the G7 in GDP growth rates, we are now near stall speed. Inward investment plunged last year. I doubt it's going to be financial armageddon, however initial pointers are not looking great. It's all for nothing as we will be back in before 2030, may be sooner.

I would be really surprised, and I mean Really surprised!, if the Lloy share count is not higher in 5 years time.

Ah right, thanks. The long term chart I looked at showed VOD back at March 2010 levels.

Rapidly slowing UK economy and perception the medium/longer term outlook is more challenging. Late cycle is also an important factor. QE has elgonated the cycle, it can't abolish it.

Lloyds is Not detached from wider markets, It's detached from Upwards moves, BUT Very much attached to downwards moves on any wider market weakness. That can change, it's only a trend until it isn't etc. However atm, that's how it appears to me.

That was my post title from a few weeks back. Given the plunge in the SP since, the answer.. a resounding YES.

So if the UKX fell by 500 points next week, you think LLOY would not be lower down?. Seriously?, Really.

You need to view Lloy in the context of the wider UKX. LLOY appears to be treading water on strong days for the wider FTSE100, and on any weakness for wider markets gets hit hard. On the wider cycle, my take is the UK will be in recession within approx 2 years. We look late in this cycle, all just IMV only.

But it's nothing to do with Brexit and UK economic prospects dimming!, yeah right.

From memory we briefly hit 83 pence a share. Now nearly 4 and a half years later below 63 at yesterday's close. As UK economic prospects rapidly dim, some realism is needed to understand Lloyds current moribund share price.

That remains to be seen during the next recession. Post WW11 the UK economy experiences a recession approx every 8 years. We don't have that long left to find out how sustainable the dividend is, recession by 2020/21 imv, perhaps sooner.

Labour will end the next GE as the largest party imv, if EM is party leader, then an overall majority achievable. The economic cycle may help Labour, recession within the next 2-3 years imo, may be sooner.
