Jim, as I've been slowly buying RYA post the warning,
I hope that sanguine outlook is valid. In fairness, logically
I've thought along similar lines.

There appears a view that everyone who favours remain is is love with the EU,
it's just not the case. I think the EURO has been s disaster for EU periphery countries, including Italy.
There is a strong case for some fundamental reform. I just saw the UK having a better
future within, than outside.. there are always downsides to every situation.

And now looks what's happening -a much tougher line on migration from the EU.

I think Mr Livermore's reasoning was, if disaster struck a particular sector,
widespread bankruptcies etc, the strongest would most likely still remain.

We've had another airline fold overnight as we know.

the strongest in the sector.

Now with airlines if we are looking a budget mainly short hall, that's RYA for me,
at least in Europe. Clearly it's helpful if the planes fly! ).

James, there are rules to any advanced society.
The idea that we have large amounts of personal freedom is a fallacy.

Every single search you put in to Google or elsewhere is now kept.
Every telephone call, mobile or landline, every single e-mail you now send
It can all be looked at, in detail. Every post on a site like this.

One of my friends is a nurse practitioner in the local A&E, in charge of triage.
Two of their long standing EU national employees have returned home recently,
no longer feeling welcome in the UK. The hospital has been unable to find replacement.
My friend's view is there is not a shadow of a doubt that lives will be lost,
because of that shortage.

Any of us could require emergency treatment at any time. Or a loved one,
Makes no difference if you have private medical cover,
it's always A&E in emergencies.

How many more thousands of that one local example are there?,
Needless loss of life.

Currently, either we do not have adequate skills in the numbers required,
or people can find alternatives elsewhere.

That's your taking back control in practice, as we already have control
of non EU immigration, migration.

We have control of non EU immigration, are you aware what does figures are?.

All of these great trade deals we will sign will require more lax non EU immigration, migration.

Multiple countries have made that clear.

And to repeat again.. we have control of non EU migrants, what are those figures ?

Is that taking back control in practice ?.

JMO, you sound childlike, which some may find endearing,
but for an older fully grown man (I'm guessing here) is just rather odd
and frankly strange.

The lack of understanding is extraordinary.

But remember that's the narrative the government are peddling to avoid
a slump in public mood. Its also why the language gradually altered, from
a great future, to some challenges, to major challenges, now they have thrown in..
a period of adjustment.. next it will be .. some costs, a price to pay etc.

Notice what they are doing .. drip, drip feed the reality.

Jmo - i won't resort to personal insults but
wonder what level of education you attained.

The EU will Not compromise the integrity of the single market.

This was VERY clear from the VERY beginning, but leavers largely lied promising
tarrif free access, no change.

We had to go through this song and dance not because of the EU,
but because the British plubic had to be drip fed the bad news/economic reality of leaving.

Remember when May used to say, we will be no worse off, oh, now that language has since
changed! Now it's ..major challenges. What comes next?... The costs of leaving to ordinary
People, that's next.

What does real control mean? - or is it largely a fallacy?.

Does real control mean that about every country we sign trade deals with,
wants easier migration rules to the UK? - India as one example have made this very clear.

So have multiple African countries.

Real control my a***, nice sound bite though.

Of the day, max 2-3 today, may be a couple Wednesday.
Then that's my lot for now, would then wait for the next equity bear market to
possibly add further. RYA and EZJ both deep in individual bear markets already,
however cyclicals tend to take a sharp blow during wider equity bears.
Timing, as always, is the tricky bit.

If I could call it with precision, life would be a lot easier )
although the may be more mundane!.

My general guide is.. both downside and upside can surprise,
trends tend to travel in either direction to a greater degree than is often anticipated.
