Nothing to do the gap!

Think Footsie down about 2% today uugghh

I guess there’s little point in doing this as it never works out. Looking at charts and the point in that ‘gap’ being filled Friday I wondered what thoughts are on price tomorrow, this week.
We’re at roughly the same price as the point in November of the original and massive surge in price. So is that roughly the support. The price pulled back as always and steadily rose before the ‘gap’ spike last Monday.
I’d like to think that we might only see another 5% drop before moving back up. But I can’t help feeling this China thing is going to make for a softer market, especially tomorrow but what do I know!
Either way, I’m heavily committed at 31p, so I’m sitting tight until we when, not if we progress far higher. Hoping this virus thing calms down a bit soon as the markets have generally ignored it ....so far, aside from certain obvious sectors. We need the market the keep stable of course.

Blimey risky. I thought I had it bad with a fair amount in at 31p and not spread it as had done previously. Is that 187k shares or £s. Either way it a lot! Fingers crossed this time

I hope 37p isn’t an all time high for too long as I’m at around 31p after selling my earlier cheaper lot. Don’t ask...

100K at just over 1p, must have been an all time low, as in could have folded I guess. But a wise punt at not an awful lot to write off. And look at you now. Bet you wish it was a million. £10k a lot to possibly lose. Good on you!

he alkaline fuel cell power company, has raised money through a share subscription and entered into a convertible bond facility.

The company has conditionally raised £813,000 before expenses by way of a subscription for 27.1mln shares at 3p a pop; AFC’s shares closed at 3.775p last night.

Today’s announcement marks a quick milestone for AFC and Rolec following on from their initial team-up.

“Since announcing our first prototype EV charging unit, we have continued to see growing interest in the compelling story of zero emission, off grid EV charging where we are seeking a clear early mover advantage,” said Adam Bond, AFC chief executive.

“Delivery of a mobile off grid reference EV charger within 12 months of the first prototype demonstrates the commitment and focus the company has to maximise this early mover advantage.

“Our collaboration with Rolec and the validation they provide to the specification of the system is a serious step forward to the commercialisation of this exciting new product."

Rolec EV general manager, Tom Pollard, meanwhile, added: “Demand from our customers for off grid or supplemental grid power continues to grow to meet the burgeoning growth in electric vehicles, particularly amongst fleet and transit businesses.

“Our collaboration with AFC Energy is now on the cusp of demonstrating, in only a few months, the world's first off grid hydrogen fuelled EV charger and we remain as ever excited at the prospects this new product brings to our portfolio of EV charging solutions."

Carbon8ed. We do have some strange handle names don’t we :). Yes I do appreciate that, like I said, if it worked, making money would be easy. MMS look at them as well. I think it does give traders an edge though. You are right about Tesla, broke every chart in the book, shortest been burnt!

I thought the markets might soften a bit over the next few months ( they said same last Summer) so recently put a bit of money into crypto for the first time. Even that’s not doing so great! Just do the opposite to me lol. I bought ARM at 95p many moons ago only to have a profit warning the following day. Lost a packet and didn’t touch shares until last December. Lost opportunities but you can’t undo your choices..

I just read up on Gaps. That’s not what I can see on our chart, there aren’t any gaps I can see.
I can see the trading range from Monday high to Friday close, balancing out but that’s not what I’ve read up on gaps that appear on charts, they really are gaps on the charts. Can’t post it here.

Thanks for explaining the gap point. I wish I understood charts better, even though they don’t follow any rules or it would all be too easy yes? I guess professional day traders do follow the charts very closely though, so trends often set by them. If I had known more about charts, I wouldn’t have sold SLP at 42p. I do hope next week sees the price more settled, especially as I bought and sold twice when twitchy, then decided I’d sit fully invested at 31p no matter what the moves and here we are! I just can’t get it right. Someone mentioned Ceres yesterday and I’d never heard of them. On reading up on them, I think I’d have better invested half my cash into them but too late now and have to hope on next week. Plus no bear markets hindering any rise.
In normal/good market conditions, could any of you chart guys call the price??

The U.K. government announced £28 million ($36.47 million) in funding on Tuesday for five projects focused on hydrogen production.

The funding is part of a £90 million package which in turn comes from a £500 million innovation fund. The Hydrogen Supply program, as it’s known, will focus on five “demonstration phase projects.”

These include what the government described as two “low carbon hydrogen production plants,” one in the northwest of England and the other near Aberdeen, Scotland. There will be also be a scheme looking to use offshore wind power to produce hydrogen through electrolysis.

The EU has described hydrogen as an energy carrier with “great potential for clean, efficient power in stationary, portable and transport applications.”

One of the benefits of using hydrogen fuel cells is that the only by-products are water vapor and warm air, according to the U.S. Department of Energy’s Alternative Fuels Data Center.
