I do not think they can willy nilly add stuff without permission. And they have been castigated before for unauthorized activity (retrospective permission). It is a shame they did not apply for the option of extra generators in the original application. I have no idea if permission would be granted (not an unreasonable request I think) and how long it would take?
"Gas Management 41. The rate of production from the BRX4Z well will be constrained by the capacity of the generator. Should the gas produced start to exceed the capacity of the generator to accept it then the well rate will be choked back. The applicant understands that the existing generator is capable of being configured to run on a variety of fuel sources, including gas. Further, a portable diesel generator is also permitted by planning permission ref: MO/2017/0916. 42. Whilst it is possible for the existing generator to utilise the gas, given the relatively short term nature of the proposed appraisal works, it is likely that the existing generator will be replaced with a new, hired in unit. This would consist of a 375kVA gas generator with an output range of 511 kW per hour (at 50% power) to 933 kW per hour at 100%. 43. At a production rate of 300 barrels of oil per day (BOPD) the associated gas from the Kimmeridge is anticipated to be in the region of 71 cu m per hour which is equivalent to approximately 770kW. The electrical output will be matched to the available gas output, i.e. the electrical output will be increased when more gas is available (higher pressure) and decreased when less gas is available (lower pressure). 44. No routine flaring will take place. However, an emergency flare stack is proposed to be installed to provide a suitable method by which to deal with any gas during an emergency shut-down. "
A placing before good results is a good thing, get it over with, sp can then rise unfettered on good oil flows. Angus probably is low on cash and they cannot take risk running out, obviously. All imo dyor.
Still all to play for here, could be a tasty end into the year, imo. A lovely sane board without the ramptastic cheerleader who had slunk sulkily away when this retraced.
" does look as though Angus is going to benefit from UKOG's extensive leg work at Horse Hill. "...lol, such as having turned open the taps on a well Angus drilled?
Yes, they will need to get the other wells going asap. The max net production (to Angus 65%) at BRX4Z will only be around 230bopd due to throttling for the gas generator (subject to getting max oil flow for allied generator gas capacity). It could be more if gas flows are low and oil flows high, but based on HH it could be the reverse.
Yes, the famous phone calls always, surprisingly, seem to tell thr caller what they would like to here. What actually happens in reality is a bit darker. What a merry dance, eh?
The sp does what it does, the resource and phenomenal prospects have not changed. Premium iron ore is now king in China, a situation that is only relatively new in the history of ZIOC. Very confident going into the year end, looking to add more..
