Thursday 24th January continues to look promising, Friday 25th doesn't - strong winds. Can't see another window opening up beyond that so if they don't make the 24th (for whatever reason) then it could mean waiting a few weeks.

JK, well that's my concern, not many attractive yellow giant squids left in the North Atlantic, could be a real risk!

Sorry for the very OT - but seriously had no idea how close up and personal giant squid's could get with a boat. Hope there isn't one near the AM!

Looking ahead, the RNS answered the question some posters had:

"A further announcement will be issued once hook-up has been successfully completed."

As dull as it seems, watch and wait time - don't see what any of us have to gain from further speculation at this point as all bases have been covered. The next one to watch is GWA.

Agree with you post - 'not a biggie'.
Re. Puffet, my reading of Puffet's post doesn't contradict the RNS or give me any reason to doubt his posts. He didn't say there were 'no' issues, looking back his wording was careful.

"No major issues just the sea state. Challenging at this time of year to hook up so just have to wait for the next weather opportunity...."

Just saying as would be shame to discredit a useful source of info!
