After a weekend of tax return procrastination and trying to read weather forecasts and failing, I need inspiration! I can't believe they removed the posts - but at the same time I don't have the energy to look for them either so have quickly copied and pasted the links you've shared and your post in case the mods try to kill the music again! Will have a listen at some point this week - now time for zzzs and work. My husband is retired (and deservedly so) but as the Government will probably put the state pension age up to 150 for my generation, I don't feel I can afford to - yet:}

Just realised I can measure sea distance on windy.com as well! Is there no end to the things I will do to postpone filing my tax return? Cut and paste link below and you'll see it's actually 226.2NM give or take.

So anywhere between 22.6 hours at full out 10 knots all the way or 29 hours if traveling between 8/7 knots.

Just a note re. the difference between forecasts on two of the sites often quoted on BBs for Hur.

Whereas Windy.com gives the forecast in the actual location - which may be very different conditions from the coastal forecast you'll get for free on marine.meteoconsult. Windy shows the 3rd (and this Monday obviously) as meeting all criteria whereas marine.meteo shows calmer conditions from the 31st through to the 2nd and the 3rd as looking much choppier!

Based on previous link Sunday 3rd looks the best bet assuming we're not suddenly going to go for Monday at the last minute!

The link below uses the FPSO Turret Centre coordinates relative to the buoy as provided by Hurricane's website.

Looking ahead to next week - I believe we're now looking for windspeeds under 20 knots and wave height/swell under 2metres - (rather than 3) and a period of calm following hook up. Next week the windspeed looks very favourable but wave height doesn't get to 2m or under. Have a look.

Using a rough estimation on Marine Traffic from the Cromaty Firth it's approx 280NM. In good weather the AM seems to happily chug along between 7 to 10 knots. So an estimate of 280/8knots = 35 hours give or take according to sea conditions.

Fair point on correcting misinformation, I would say a a bit harsh when the poster was, in my view, trying to supportive to all holders here. However, having said that, I am beginning to appreciate there a quite a few folk who pop up out of the blue for no other reason than to wind every one up and I imagine the closer we get to FOIL they may start appearing with greater frequency. I nearly lost the will to live with one earlier so I sympathize.

I think it might help if you read Surfit's first post and Klepto's post again?

Surfit was upfront and Klepto was agreeing with Wellwell that the subsea was already completed and ready to 'plug' in.

Ken, have looked, could work out - might not ... Could still be on this weekend, I'm working on the premise that if you forget your umbrella it rains and if you remember it doesn't. I'm trying to psych the weather ... Anyway, back to the tax return!

Oh come on ifonly, nothing to dread on here apart from sweet fa happening for the next 3 months. Cheer up! If you posted some links or gave some back up to your predictions - maybe you're a charting genuis? No idea, but it might be more constructive than popping up each week with your one liners of doom!

We might get a random heatwave in February - it does happen - who knows? Time to relax and wait for an RNS at some point, then it will just be a nice surprise!
