Alternatively, figures for the first three months were not given, as has previously been the case, as the move up in share price would have been quite significant against the raise today?

If we get big orders then of course we will have to cross that bridge when it comes (bigger premises, increase in production capabilities, more staff etc etc), this is what we all want is it not? for ITX to be successful and in return we reap the rewards as well with increased SP or is this not the case and I have got this whole investing thing totally wrong?

Funding announced to support EU growth The group has announced a modest placing, achieved via a direct subscription by the group’s largest shareholder and its two senior directors. The subscription will raise £0.3m at a price of 4.5p and represents a 1.5% increase in the group’s equity base. With trading forecasts confirmed by the recent positive trading update, the proceeds will fund working capital, mainly to strengthen its stock of finished product in the EU. The impact on EPS is immaterial given the forecast losses over the next two years. We maintain our existing 12.0p price target and reiterate our enthusiastic view that the group is expected to show a significant step forward in volumes over the next two years.

Would this be in the area of toilet paper and wipes etc?

Just had a look back for comparison as to where we possibly are.

"Further to the update given on 8 June 2021, the Company is pleased to report that growth in demand for its plant-based polymers has continued. Unaudited revenues for the first six months of the year were $1.4 million, representing 26% growth over the equivalent period in 2020 "

So base on the trading update today we are significantly ahead of this, which would suggest that FY22 is $4.7m. is well within our grasp. Circa 35% increase would take us to $1.9M for the first 6 months 2021, with the second half of the year having the habit of being much better (apart from last years, extenuating circumstances)

Had another read of the trading update and this caught my eye.
Itaconix is working with select customers (MORE THAN ONE) on trials of VELAFRESH® SAP80, a plant-based superabsorbent with potential uses in more sustainable baby diaper, adult incontinence, feminine hygiene, and industrial absorption products. In addition, the Company recently entered into a development agreement (THIS IS A NEW ONE)with a major North American pulp and paper company for adding VELAFRESH® odour neutralization technology to a range of potential consumer products.
