Itaconix (AIM: ITX) (OTCQB: ITXXF), a leading innovator in sustainable plant-based polymers used to decarbonise everyday consumer products, announces that Yvon Durant, Chief Technology Officer of the Company, purchased 17,300 ordinary shares in the Company on 27 October 2023 at $1.70 per ordinary share.

Following this purchase, Yvon Durant holds 127,789 ordinary shares in the Company, representing approximately 0.95% per cent. of the Company's issued share capital.

Circa $30,000 worth of shares in this instance.

Was just a thought, but wondered what the pros and cons might be?

Treasury stock is often kept for the purpose of reselling, for controlling interest in the company, to prevent hostile takeovers of the company, to prevent undervaluation of shares, and for improved financial ratios such as the earnings per share ratio, the price earnings ratio etc

As per half year results

"Cash and Cash Equivalents as at 30 June 2023 was $10.9 million, compared to $0.6 million as at 31 December 2022."

Based on the fact that we have very little cash burn as per John and we are approaching breakeven I would suggest that we would be around the $10 million mark, (my best estimate based on, we have no notification of any major purchases of equipment and no further purchased of raw material since the circa 100 Metric Tonnes which was delivered prior to half year results).

What a crazy day

Think that this issue is, that too many PI's here, have little or no knowledge/interest of the in's and out's of the company and what it does and its potential, instant gratification is the order of the day.

Outside the box thought, with all the spare cash that ITX have swilling around, could they not use some of this to buy back a percentage of the shares? or does that require authorisation to implement? would have the effect of raising the S.P or is this counter productive?

If you take off the cash in the bank then basically the MC equates to the turnover of ITX, well well oversold and a total joke.

IP alone must be worth $50 mill minimum

Personally I think that there is huge mileage here and I am in this for the long haul, in my opinion there aren't many companies with the potential that ITX have. The future lies in eco friendly ingredients/products where we are continually increasing our footprint in this area, companies the like of ITX do not come along very often, think that next year may be totally transformational, making inroads into the superabsorbents will be big for me.

As you say Elsol " we will get some momentum back in here from now on with a more pragmatic shareholder base that can see the obvious share attractions for medium term investment starting today."

On the RNS think that John tries to not over promise so therefore the $7.7 million is already accounted for up to the end of November and what the take in in December will take us over the $8 million.

Unusual for ITX to bow to pressure for some sort of update? ( or am I way off here?)

Guess the main Trading update with a lot more meat on the bone will come in the early part of next year.

As we have seen from the research being done that we are gaining more and more brands in both cleaning and Beauty and my best guess is that the numbers being quoted today are based solely on these ingredients and have not included any revenues from Bio-Asterix and super absorbents as these are unknown quantities at the moment, very nice to see the GPM continuing to increase (mid 30's and beyond hopefully). Steady as she goes, still feel we will be taken out at some point in the not too distant future for somewhere between £100 and £150 million (just my thoughts/hopes/dreams)

Good to see the emphasis being placed on awareness of company and its inevitability to aid the growth in the shareholder base.

I am sure this will come, was this not part of the composites IP and purchase of the new production equipment to facilitate.

John does like to keep his cards close to his chest, which does not go down well with everyone, I take it that if there is no news, then this is good news?

Looking now at there being a major trading update the 10th or 17th of Jan 2024 ( my best guess) unless of course they give us an early Xmas present?

Based on what we are seeing as regards the ever increasing amount of products on the shelves then I reckon we are in for a very good update, put it this way Yvon Durant (CTO) does not invest circa $30K of his own cash on a whim, without knowing he will make a very sizeable return.

Another positive is the currency situation, still working in our favour.
