Our latest Investing Matters Podcast episode with QuotedData's Edward Marten has just been released. Listen here.
morning Pad, a good find, but im not sure what he had decided about solg feasability. I would have liked to hear about after the core is mined, capex then small, infrastructure complete etc, is the surrounding lower Cu content ore more economic for mining. Also with cascabel extending to the S and N, how does that alter his model as infrastructure established with the first mine. Hope for some more news this week, GLA
Good ByronB, yes agree with you a to d. Not sure why "we" swan around the world presenting many slides which have been seen many times previously! High cost to attend such meetings. As for the presentation, just lacking professionalism, however in her defense its appeared that someone may have wrote the presentation!
morning Q and all, just wondering whether t/o's are seasonal, a bit like the sell in May and go away phrase. As for Anna, probably the worst presentation I've seen in many a year. You should NEVER NEVER read the talk out, in this case from laptop! The slides SOLG use are far too complicated and full of detail to ignore them. SOLG should simplify their slides and work thru them with pointing device. The detail is such that the writing is barely readable. SIMPLIFY! As for ms Legge, try. practising, a lot! The content is good as ever but please change the slides aa most people attending these industry jollies have seen them already! OK rant over, have a good day all
Mads i agree, it will be nice to know what on earth is happening n uruguay after all the initial excitemwent!!!
well the last day of the year is upon us, so I at least am looking forward to some early 2018 news. Back in August , before the various set backs, they were expecting production of 60000 ozs Au eq pa. I hope to hear early that that will be reached and bettered.in the coming year. Also some drilling activity in December in Uruguay was promised! Results in late January? And what of the massive sulphides deposits, will we hear more soon, remembering they are often found in groups :-). These plus one hopes regular Calcatreu updates should make for a more interesting year than last. Anyhow gla and have a prosperous new year one and all.
This link is slightly encouraging! https://simplywall.st/news/2017/11/20/why-patagonia-gold-plcs-aimpgd-ownership-structure-is-important/ I would hope that we might get some Uruguay news soon, particularly regarding the massive sulphide deposit, for two reasons a) there are usually more than one deposit of this type in a region and b) they may contain metals other than gold which are becoming more important because of the electric vehicle trend and battery grid storage. Perhaps gold might not be the prime mover for the Uruguay interest?
if they get to 20000 per Q, I would be happy at 80000 per year and then ramp up, :-)
Morning all, it's nice to see we are all getting overly excited by tomorrows' broadcast and results. I can only hope they will have some amazing results up their sleeves for this one!!! Anyone know whether they will take questions at the end of the broadcast as per last time they tried this method of reporting! I have a list in case they do! Anyhow onwards and sideways, GLA
Mind you it all becomes a bit confusing when the web site claims well over 1000000Aueq for Cap O!!!
Morning Mads, nice Chilean blends over a highly sporting weekend here. As for PGD , going back to 30/8/16 the estimation is..." The forecast production for the Project during the 24 month expected life of mine is estimated to approximately 82,000 oz AuEq, with potential to increase the mine life with supply from satellite deposits .." not sure if 82000 is pa or not, but will assume pa.Extension being possible from Mt Leon and La Manchuria. On 23/10/16 it was though more extension from underground COSE possible ( no figures and of course now not possible). 23/12/16 estimated total output up to 186,800 Aueq with lifetime 3 years until July 2019 (presume later now). Guide for 2017 was 69,800Aueq. Mt Leon drilling complete...approx 25000Aueq. No mention of La Manchuria (current estimate about 146000Aueq). So best guess is, if in full production, then about 70000 Aueq until at last 2020. Possible for longer if satellite deposits come on line. IMHO of course
Morning Mads,I decided to have a look at what all the fuss is about at Churub and spent some time looking around Esquel on Google earth. To the west of Esquel I totally agree with the environ people, very beautiful and I would join in their protests, However to the north, east and south very much less exciting. To the NW and SW beautiful but not stunning. Perhaps a way forward would involve a voluntary no go zone in a westerly corridor from miners, N, E and W no problem, but special case permits for NW and SW? I know this might appear too sensible but given the grades around there it would be worth a shot! I live in hope to see lol.
sun and shiraz is a heady mix, :-). Yes agree with employment vs environment, difficult to sort, but with high inflation, the greenies will get sidelined and a more balanced arrangement started. imo of course.
2_3g/t !!
Morning all, after the relative disappointment of the recent rns, I took time to read it again over the weekend. One noticeable thing is the lack of comment on this bb regarding the results from San Jose. There seems to be a 3.8 km overall extension to the strike zones which one would have to believe is good news. In particular, however, is the discovery of a VHMS at Carreta Quemada. I have to admit that I was in the dark as to what this was, as the world map showed very few VHMS's in South America. Internet to the rescue and revealed that in the far distant past when South America was next to Africa there was a area of mineralisation that ran from Namibia thru Uruguay...so what was the cry!..Namibia has several large VHMS sites! So a possible link. I hope PGD do a IP study on the ore body as they can be quite large with high value ( check out the sp chart on http://www.visualcapitalist.com/the-story-of-voiseys-bay-the-discovery-1-of-3/ (part2)) . They can be up to 2-3% Au but are mainly Cu/Zn. For more info about these deposits I suggest https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ySb7kHwZSBM (dull but informative). Anybody know the current situation with Cherub province regarding the mining ban. The grades PGD obtained from its sites there were impressive, however if we can't get it out of the ground then it is of little use to us! If there are positive signs from both the above then PGD might actually supprise us!!! I will go and visit a white witch and see if he can help us lol. GLA
a bit of shiraz induced net searching from 2005 , rns number 31831, a few properties but not sounding too exciting. from the Humphries Pickett ear!
perhaps I'll drop them a line, but I can't imagine it will be up to much given the lack of information. Just looks good perhaps on the company profile!
With the Calcatreu Option they should be following the price of silver, which is very healthy at the moment!
Morning all, it seems most of the news released by PGD is prefaced by a statement which contains the following ..."...projects in Argentina, Chile and Uruguay,..". Does anybody known anything of the Chilean site(s), where are they, what are they, do they produce anything (lol), are they worth anything, are they saleable? No news from the due diligence work and the time frame is getting short by the day now! I hope we have enough cash to buy the option if it proves up! Really not much to say as I contemplate the first wine of the day !! cheers one and all
morning all, well pgd's month of assessment of the new extraction system is up this week, so I hope we see some really positive news this week! If not then I for one would wish to know why, rather than hiding behind the usual wall of silence. Even a picture would be encouraging! On top of the above, what of the other sites? Come on bod it's spring time in s.america! get the spades and drills out!
Morning Mads, yes I agree with you. You maybe interested in the following which is a real example of the issue: http://www.asx.com.au/asxpdf/20170725/pdf/43kvpcqd09dkw3.pdf (taken from tomcat-14 on KDNC). However I am still uncertain in the case of PGD as in theory they have notified the investors via the last update and are now collecting a large data set to give accurate values to back up the last update. It probably falls into section 4 of the above document? cheers for now. As for predicting sp, I think that's a waste of effort as in principle we are all here to see the sp go up
