Glen.....but that is already factored into the current and future supply, unless Benchmark Minerals etal are idiots?.....you suggested buyers just knock on the doors all of companies asking them to build more and they could just add a few more ton each week, do not be so frivilous and throw away with your commments if you do not want them ridiculed as they deserved to be. I did not say it is not possible, in fact it is what ACP and BKT plan to do amongst many mine plans nowadays, start small dream big for future increased demand. But they need to have actually planned for it.... site infrastructure maybe limited by area used (topgraphical features, large structure like dams) or mine design (you cannot just redig in another direction if the mine plan has not allowed for the way the open pit is dug!).. Bottom line is you were saying no mines in the world need built because companies have possible expansion plans... Chinese expand all the time, it is whether expansion can outstrip demand and not many think it can. Mines in constuction today are not looking at today's demand and supply, but future (incorporting all possible public known expansions) This is the whole concept of current mines all wanting to get to the 'future' demand profile so that they can be the ones supplying the market with increasing stages.
And Captain hindsight....
