Taken a holding here, definitely one to watch for me. Well below placing placing price and mcap under Napster revenues. Not so sure why the UT closed us out at such a discount on such low volume, I had a £25k buy order for the last week set at 2.95 and its only filled just over £1,400 so cant be much stock available at the lower price!
I know we have no dates and all just speculation but from Matt Han****s statements today its looking very unlikely lockdown will be lifted before end of Feb and possibly not even by Easter! What are peoples thoughts on when you think lockdown will start to ease?
Certainly helped with the share price, strong day today considering its looking like an end to lockdown is no closer, NI have today extended their lockdown to at least 5th March. Tough few months for M&S but looking like it will come out of all this turmoil a much stronger business for the new financial year, online and in store! Nice to see us close above 142
Pretty much a done deal

Clothing and home store sales were as expected, we all know that side of the business has underperformed. Like you said the rise in online sales is what we were hoping for, to show MKS are heading in the right direction, before cv19 M&S were lagging in online business and thanks to the current situation they have rapidly grown and improved that side of the business, which was much needed.
M&S are still very much a work in progress and in my eyes are progressing well. 8.2% down overall for that Q3 is pretty impressive considering what they've been up against. This next quarter will be very tough as the last 2 results have shown they will be hit hard with the loss in clothing sales due to store closures.
However, once we're out of this lockdown, in time for Q1 of next year I expect M&S will perform very strongly, on the high street a lot of competition has gone, online business will continue to grow. Clothing section will continue to improve and hopefully the addition of extra brands, possibly starting with Jaeger.
Vaccination program is well underway, the most vulnerable will be vaccinated and will be making up for lost time feeling like they have a new superpower!
Some bad press today and some of the figures slightly underwhelming but it was expected, otherwise we wouldn't be having the opportunities to buy at these levels. SP may possibly drift a bit over the next week or so, FTSE has outperformed this week, I fully expect it to hit 7000 but maybe not this quick so may have some pullbacks next week then the closer we get to coming out of this we will see some considerable rises, definitely one to outperform in the future for me
Results show how much the clothing sales suffered during lockdowns but out of lockdowns the sales were much improved and only 2% down. The next quarter will be tough due to current lockdown but with the vaccinations in full swing and the end of lockdowns looking near this will fly, maybe not today maybe not this month but the closer it gets the more this will rise as they will come out of this situation stronger for next financial year. Get this lockdown out of the way and I think we will do very well here
Totally agree with you Neil, shares drop on results where the goal has been achieved whereas this update is all about showing how MKS are progressing and becoming a stronger company despite the issues Coronavirus brought. It did however bring the opportunity for them to accelerate their business improvements and taking the business forward at an accelerated pace.
As I've been saying for the past few months MKS is a stronger business now than it was this time last year when the share price was over £2!
Not much has changed for M&S, most of UK was already tier 4. M&S food sales will again increase and this time will benefit from the online trade with their much improved online business and the Ocado partnership, winner winner M&S dinner
National lockdown pretty much already in place and M&S food stores will stay open as they did in November. Bigger affect on none essential retail businesses but again good news for supermarkets, I also take aways could be affected so more benefit to food sales.
Hopefully this is the last lockdown and the light is getting much closer. People just need to rally together, follow the rules and get this beat!
That light is getting brighter
