I have received an interesting response to a question I sent to Synairgen.

This is the original question:

There are questions on the LSE forum about the sources of the UNIVERSAL trial funding.

In the RNS dated 5 September 2022, it states that Janssen are the sole source of funding.

However, according to the ISRCTN registry, BOTH Janssen and AZ are providing funding for the trial:

So, is it only Janssen OR both Janssen and AZ that are providing funding?"

I received the following response from Brooke:

"I can confirm, per our RNS in September 2022, Synairgen is providing viral testing equipment (already owned by Synairgen) and nursing staff at the Southampton clinical trial site. As we are not the sponsors of this trial, it is not for me to comment on other funders that Southampton may have involved. I suggest this is a question for the clinical trials unit at the University."

Hiring expensive staff located in New Brunswick the HQ of Janssen (Johnson & Johnson).

The STRIVE trial.

Rick Bright has only spoke positively about this drug.

The scientist in charge of the successful P2 trial saying it was worthy of further investigation.
