Quite right nobody owes me an explanation - but I don’t think it’s a poor use of a message board to ask for views on what good results would look like. And in the absence of people being able to articulate an answer then Ill probably read something into that. Ive also said I find the ramping distasteful but enough about that it’s not productive is it.

Not sure Ive been negative though, I think they’ll announce they think they have more oil than previously hoped for. I just think this can / will be proven, although I might be misinformed on that point and would be happy to be corrected.

I’m not currently invested and I’m still interested in the results - surprised it wouldn’t be of interest to you but each to their own. Cheers and good luck

I’m not invested, as I’ve said previously I have been in the past and might have gone in again but I think it’s a bit overpriced at present. I was keen to discuss / understand what positive results might look like but there seems to be absence of knowledge or people who want to talk about that. I may have misunderstood but I can’t see how true results will be any better than a revised estimate of the presumed oil across this part the acreage.

It’s a fascinating company which is why I remain interested.

Another day and another set of attacks someone (olderwsier this time) for clarifying/challenging the misinformation hyperbole. And again people start questioning his motives, as if the twitter ramper is the one with altruistic motives.

Same old story. I explain my outlook / position and get a barrage of abuse and accusations because you can’t articulate yourselves.

Fingers crossed you lose a lot of money. Although no doubt at that point you’ll just decide it’s a long term investment anyway.

I still think it’s extremely naive to read anything into standard language like they are looking forward to presenting results (when they have them!).

I’m not necessarily asking for a prediction I’m trying to understand whether people (who are otherwise very keen to speculate) could clarify what would constitute good results?

It strikes me good results might look something like an announcement that they now believe there is more oil in the acreage than previously thought - although I fail to see how this could be definitive.

But yes as I say whatever is released certain posters will talk it up.

ddraig - you obviously can’t answer what good results will look like. You also don’t know how quotations work, or you wouldn’t “make up fake quotes”

I don’t know what favours you think i’m trying to do. I’ve been super honest - i’ve bought and sold this share, firstly about 5years ago when the message board was dominated by Brom and Mikeymasters and more recently. I’ve not made much but I’ve not spent 5years reading other people’s geogoly theories either.

I’m not in now as despite the fact i think the results will be presented as a success and will strongly indicate more oil, they won’t give clarity (certainly to me) on what it translates to in mcap. I do note the same people who told us that paying off debt was a sign a takeover was imminent,pivoted to saying the new appointments showed there was oil as why else appoint technical expertise. Whatever gets announced the cult find a positive and push it hard.

I actually thought it would dip after the 27th july rns suggested results would be later than most expected but I was wrong. I would have chanced my arm on a dip and still might if it goes low. But obviously some of the long term cultists believe late news must = good news. I don’t know either way. I enjoy checking for ANN on the ASX, as i say it’s a great punt.

So perhaps you could return the courtesy and tell us how you see it?

Classic 88e herd mentality, either a blatant ramper or (as I suspect) a naive victim of group think and wishful thinking.

Don’t worry about chapter and verse - just a short paragraph on what results you think will come in? Or even what good results would look like?

I’m not here to stir - I’m genuinely interested and might have a crack. I’ve traded it a few times over the years and it’s a fascinating story.

Separately, I find the bullyboy moral high ground behaviour of the kool aid crew distasteful.

Ibiza - you are typical of an investor here, taking positives from every bit of news or non news. Do you (or anyone else) even know what good news would look like?

I don’t own anything here but if it dips more get involved for a speculative punt, but that’s mainly because the volatility means there’s a chance of making a lot of quick money. But also losing it!

“Imminently” wasn’t an update from earlier statements which already said early August / within a few weeks of 27 July. They are coming very soon.

I think my favourite over analysis was when people starting reading into the fact they said they were “looking forward” to receiving the results, someone said they wouldn’t say that if they were bad.

@chrisev1 - my interpretation is both will be announced at the same time. So 88e will receive the science and then assess and announce what that means. The technical results themselves wouldn’t. w understood would they (certainly by me!)

well said charon. Group think, cheerleading and casino mentality investing is the order of the day here.
The people with the biggest agendas are the self styled “long term investors” who thought it was an equally great investment irrespective of share price or results. It’s close to a cult. Nobody will articulate what a bad/average/good/great result will be.

Worse still these people, with the biggest agendas, somehow take the moral highground, as if talking a share up is somehow more noble than talking it down. Personally I’d rather make money from a duster than lose money from someone else’s geology twitter class.

This is a sentiment share and great bit of spectator sport but people need to be clear about why they want to invest.

Hi Gekko, I think a lot of people may have missed that in the 27th July Rns they said

“Phase Two results are expected to be received in the next few weeks…” so it seemed they were running a bit behind the earlier expected timeframe. I don’t know whether that’s positive or negative.
