it's interesting, it felt akin to "maximum fear" which is why I added to my position, oil will rebound and probably settle near to here and GKP is still making lots of cash.

You could balance up the eye catching oil price predictions to the downside, with the previous days eye catching headline from JPmorgan which they outline an upwards risk on the PoO of $380 a barrel...in reality, something in the middle of those ranges is most likely

Yes, the "news" report raises more questions. 6 to 17 months seems an odd period as does naming three companies which will not be treated as the rest.
As always, we will be the last to know, so perhaps don't even attempt to piece anything together as it is pure conjecture.

Hi C, no, I think you misread my post, I meant that the NED appointment was just another GKP "ism" that I didn't fully understand the reasoning for...just as I don't understand why GKP would be specifically names and called out in a communiqué differentiating it from other IOC's.

Why GKP get a 6 to 17 month reprieve and where does the appointment of a new Bermudian NED with to join a team of auditing and risk management fit into this?

For the $25m quarterly dividend, x-div date is today: 30/06/2022 with payment 15/07/2022.

For the "special" dividend, ($50m); x-div date is: 14/07/2022 with payment 29/07/2022.

Just to confirm, a 25 million dividend is worth approx. 8p per share and a 50 million dividend is worth around d 17p per share??

Hey Jaycee, another LTH...I recall the iii days fondly...but perhaps we were a little naive. I bought my first shares 26th March 2009 at 11 pence, and we had plenty of opportunity to get out at a very nice profit. Perhaps we got greedy or as more of a true investment, we believed the story.

So here we are, some thirteen years on, and the same old games play out.
KRG disagrees with Bagdad , smoke and mirrors abound (Nadhim Zahawi we will always remember) and the flood of information and disinformation on every bulletin board.

Perhaps the corrupt and disgraced former deity was right after all, come the end game and the true transformative value event, there will not be many private investors left, only those who still believe or are "trapped" may prevail. One day.

We have heard all of the noise before, I will just keep taking the dividend and average down at support....whenever that presents itself.

Its just a clearing time period to give maybe a T = 2 settlement timeframe "plus a few days for comfort" as insurance that you don't miss it.

it is an interesting risk reward proposition, Ex Divi date is currently 03rd March (anyone confirm record date - would it be min two / three days prior to that date, so last "safe" opportunity to get in would be Friday 25th Feb)
However, given the current price swings, what is the prospect of losing a whole lot more than the interim Dividend, in terms of SP.

Is the Quarterly Divi likely to be in excess of 14.84p per Share?
