SOI is looking like the best income fund in the Far East space.

No paying capital as income, no funky dividend policies, no dividend washing as far as I can tell.

This has given us the lowest yield in the sector but the best total return and I suspect the best sustainable dividend + dividend growth.

I regularly posted 'Top Ten' where I calculated the average and weighted yields of the companies held by HFEL.

Typically this number is around 3.8%. This of course does not include the management fee.

I don't understand why people here want to defend the indencible.

Previous underperformance IMHO was the result of a change in management and style from 2007 believe it or not.

Some won't want to hear it but there are some indications the fund may still underperform into the future.

I am just quoting a few numbers I was not bashing the fund for it's history or the way it is managed which is the easiest thing to do.

Since I have been posting underperformance in nominal terms and against the sector is surely something we do not want for our hard earned money.
