In May 2023, NVIDIA, Rolls-Royce, and Classiq announced a collaboration to enhance jet engine efficiency by designing and simulating the world’s largest quantum computing circuit for CFD, which is 10 million layers deep with 39 qubits. The simulation was performed using NVIDIA’s A100 Tensor Core GPUs and cuQuantum software. NVIDIA’s Grace Hopper Superchip was designed for large-scale quantum simulations, combining GPUs and CPUs for optimal performance, and linking to quantum processors.
