Can anyone shed any light on this line from the "Consolidated statement of comprehensive income"?
Items that will not be reclassified subsequently to profit and loss:
Exchange differences on translation of foreign operations
It's -£716k for H1 23.
This is not my worst performing investment over the past year but I must admit it is probably the most frustrating. Must be the "wealth preservation" tag!
Moreover, I'm struggling to see just what market conditions are needed for the SP to go up.
Cut and run, or more patience required?
The update was aimed at examining the economics of either a 20Mtpa or 25Mtpa open pit mining operation for copper prices ranging from US$8,000/t to US$11,000/t and cut-off grades of 0.10% CuEq and 0.15% CuEq. A total of 16 scenarios were run for open pit mining of the Racecourse and Ascot Mineral Resources, with ECONOMIC PIT SHELLS being generated for ALL OF THESE SCENARIOS.
I've been holding off adding to my position here in light of the DHSC payment dispute. However, after re-reading the RNS it's clear DHSC have requested a "proposal for the repayment" rather than simply a demand for payment. As such, I now believe that even if the dispute goes against ODX then it's not the "lights-out" scenario I feared.
"Omega has received confirmation from the DHSC ... that Omega submit a proposal for the repayment of the pre-production payment of £2.5m (net of VAT)."

RNS - DHSC contract update (10/12/21)
Seems to me like a half-hearted attempt to raise in the markets, i.e. designed to fail, whereby the only option left on the table is the one they really want; to issues millions of cheap shares to the major shareholders. Sorry guys, we had no other option...
Come on Red, of course it's an AIM stock. The company have stated their intention to re-domicile to the UK and move to the main market so watch this space.
Hopefully more than the £1.2m they plan to spend to divest it but knowing this lot, I doubt it.
"Accordingly, the fundraise will not proceed and the Company will look at other strategic and funding options."
We should get confirmation tomorrow on the open offer take up. Should be interesting...
Announcement of result of Open Offer - 1 March
Thanks for the cultured discussion tonight; I just voted AGAINST both resolutions.
Academy is right...
"... at an issue price of 5 pence per New Ordinary Share (the "Issue Price")."
Apologies, I misread it.
It's 4p
So when will the next divi be announced? March 2022, alongside the full year results?
"Iceberg alluded to possible higher % grades at Ascot - maybe 1% copper and a lot of it?"
Hang on, let's not get carried away and set ourselves up for a fall. Iceberg said "it’s unlikely that 1% is representative, a typical Bushranger value of .3% to .6% appears to be more likely" - which would still be a fantastic result, cheers.
They're on the drill plan attached as part of the RNS.
