I agree, once you have opened a bet, they shouldn't be allowed to change margin requirements. Certainly not by so much with such short notice. They should have hedged their exposure in almost real-time. Their fault if they haven't. New positions I don't have a problem with.
Crazy price right here. 2 scenarios:
(1) Apollo/another PE house takes THG private: price will be well in-excess of current sp.
(2) THG remains public. The market cap right now is stupidly low (why they're receiving approaches). In time this trades well over £1.
obviously the deal is still on. What happened today was a spectacle of market manipulation followed by a huge number of stops getting taken out in short order. Plenty will have been (leveraged) long with stops under £1. Today a lot of people made money and lost money.
that article is a fluff piece. I'd take the sky news insight that an offer was being considered at a steep premium. It's obvious to Apollo that sub £1.70 was off the table. Was very clear yesterday that deal is still being worked on. Watch this get bought back up later today and you'll see the bid is very real.
haha, lootgaloot you clearly have no idea how aircraft financing works. It's beneficial for carriers to lease rather than purchase out right. It's this thing called CASHFLOW.
this will rocket soon - total bargain at these levels
I very much agree with you. Nicely under the radar here, a phenomenal long term opportunity. This is a well run company that's highly profitable in the good times. Air travel is returning and will pick up pace.
why would it fall below RI price? I'd be chucking the kitchen sink at this if it got to anywhere near the RI price! They'll be well cashed up and should have a profitable summer.
only just getting started here. I've been surprised how little interest there has been given the work they're doing on covid passports (which are clearly going to be a part of all our lives soon enough). Tiny market cap for such a quality company.
still holding all mine, I think we'll see 350p by summer. Should be a very good summer for C&C! Still at a big discount to where we were prior to Covid
yep.. and it still trades at a huge discount to NAV. My largest position.
