Should have said likelihood of an attack in February

I read today that Israel does not expect any strike on Iran imminently but does in the next 2 weeks. I just asked AI in percentage terms the likelihood of an American attack. It gave 3 possible scenarios the most likely being diplomatic solution 55 to 65%, limited strikes 25 to 30% and a full scale attack 10 to 15%. Hopefully Trump will sit on his hands and the world will be a calmer place but if not there are 2 scenarios there that will see a large rise in the price of oil.

What was the price of Brent at 16:30 today ? I see it’s close to 71 now .

No I wouldn’t be saying that if the share price was now 150p and I’m not trying to say the current share price is due to the buybacks. I’m just suggesting that the buybacks through good practice or good luck has now proved to be a benefit to shareholders.

Bearing in mind the current share price are we agreed that the buybacks were a good thing and actually made us money.

Oil price is currently up . We could be testing the 235 region today.

Trump looks to be putting pressure on Iran , could be an interesting few days.

Debt repayment or buybacks? Ultimately I don’t know but surely the board considers and opts for which they feel is most beneficial to the company and shareholders. If they believe the shares are undervalued then I would think buybacks would be the better option. We can moan about the low share price ( and we have for a long time now) but things can change for the better very quickly in this business.

So Trump has gone into another country ( rightly or wrongly) kidnapped the countries president and his wife . You have to give him some credit , our government can’t even stop illegal immigrants coming over in dinghies and when they get here we give them money!
