I’m hoping that Linda is talking to BASF and working with them to buy at least some of their shares. They are willing to sell at a discount to market value so it makes no sense for that to continue at a time when we will be doing buybacks. Let’s buy them direct at a discount and gradually get rid of them.

Keep the dividend as it is , pay off debt , no buy backs on the open market but if the management can do a deal to buy some from BASF at a market discount that might suit everyone .

When you rely on dividends for pension income as I do I think you need to have a diverse portfolio of shares to avoid taking a massive hit from just one share dividend policy change . I recently bought NESF which had dropped on news that the dividend was being cut and shareholders didn’t like it but the previous dividend was clearly not sustainable . The irony is that I bought in after the drop and will receive around 10% dividend which I am more than happy with.

Neither him nor his mates will be held accountable. Though I do believe in years to come history will judge him to have been the most corrupted president of all time.

Given that HBR is in a pretty good position at the moment couldn’t we rather than do buybacks on the open market just do a deal with those that want out to buy a portion of those shares at a discount to market valuation . Could be a win for those wanting to get out that they would know the price of the share sale in advance .HBR gets shares at a discount to the market and the market doesn’t get spooked.

They will keep this share price down as much as possible but I’m expecting it to:rise from these levels as they make the decision to be in or out for the weekend.

Brent around 109 now ! That makes HBR a bargain at anything under 350

We have taken a big hit today , BP up over 2% , that would usually mean we would be up nearly double that at around 4% which would have potentially taken us past the £3 barrier

Just looks like many have always suspected that this will not be over quickly. US troops on route but that will take 3 weeks to get there and apart from possibly taking over Kharg island what else can they do ?

This is not finished yet, they have let Russia supply and they expect us to believe everything is going fantastically well. Until traffic can flow freely through the straight oil will remain high and even when they sort that out I don’t expect things to return to normal overnight . It will take months to get back to some sort of normality .

I am trying to de risk and have been in way too deep on HBR. I sold a lump which was outside my isa at 2.79 only then to see it drop after the placement so bought back in at 2:59 . I’ve got a sell order in today at 2:99. The ones in my isa I want to hold and see where it takes us , be nice to get to around £4.
