Rheinmetal the person who said Politics had nothing to do with RR :) I mean come on!
I came in here over the weekend for some advise from people who know more than I do. I may as well have gone to Skegness and paid £2 into the Mystic Zoltan All Seeing Future Machine.
Why a company that deals in defence contracts should drop a single penny in today's times, is beyond me :)
Still with the RR comparisons. RR has one the one thing that no Airline has, Diversification. RR is Global, spread across multiple airlines, in multiple countries, its everywhere, its underwater it’s in the air, it’s on land, it’s in space, its fighting for our freedom all over the world in both defense and first strike capabilities and one day it’s even going to be in our electricity . RR is not even a close comparison for IAG yet it’s the go to for how IAG is doing. IAG doing well only makes RR do better, but that's the only comparison that can link the two.
Chrispiano... I wasn't sure you really put 50k on IAG, but you obviously have the money after your amazing financial decision made in 2021...
You can always bite the bullet and hunt elsewhere, I have reduced my RR holding by around £60k because I have simply run out of patience, i still have a smaller holding left (£30k) but I am at 118 ave price and I do not expect to yield more than 10% on that this year which frankly does nothing to excite me.
The rise us penny's compared to the ticket and the deep pockets of the company's paying.
Shorts keeping this share down is laughable.Debt is causing the stagnation in our price As mentioned in other peoples previous posts, there is a very good write up explaining this so that even I can understand why the price isn't moving in any meaningful direction. IAG could solve their debt problem over night with a Rights issue, but no-one in here wants that do they? So it's all down to the wise words of Warren Buffet who said something like, the Stock market is designed to separate impatient people from their money.

How can our share price drop, but because of its profits all the others rise? Very disappointed and even more disillusioned.
Some at Mötley Fool do own shares, buy you won't read their articles until the price rises.
I thought the same about Retail invests and RR. Didn't stop me investing 80k at 1.35 then watching it drop to .65. Retail knows as much as we do, anymore and, it's insider trading. Hold and most stocks come good.
Navalny commited suicide in 2021 on the day he decided to fly from the safety of Germany to Russia. The only reason I can think for this thread to be in this chat room, is that he didn't use IAG for the flight.
Again and again we have the comparisons to RR. IAG does not have an AUKUS contract on the horizon, and that's what broke the RR decline into pennies .
I know exactly what you mean Kevin. I felt exactly the same about Idi Amin furring the 70s. Of course you do have to look past the genocide etc. I also can't help think that he might have something to do with our current low price so you do have a tangible reason to mention him in this room.
It's a mistake to compare iag with RR. Rolls isn't entirely tied to the air industry and is not controlled by OPEC price rises . A plane has to fly with one passenger or 200 passengers otherwise the company looses its routes, because of this RR makes the same money as long as the planes are flying. Investing in Airshares is like putting all your eggs in one basket and then pushing it down a steep hill preying that it hits no rocks on its travels. Everything is a rock for Airshares. Any negative news on the world stage will effect us and this is why we must all have a diverse portfolio.
There are vast differences between RR and IAG. RR has many irons in many fires, and a lot of these fires have yet to start burning. I went into RR to get me out of trouble with the Cineworld mess I got into, and I watched them half in value with all the negative sentiment from everyone including Motley and Co, but I looked out my window and I could see planes flying, I could read about wars causing energy problems, I could see China causing problems and I kept thinking RR are the perfect company to invest in. If you belive in a company, and you do your research then listen to no-one, you are not gambling, you are investing in yourself and when it pays off, the feeling is amazing. Good luck to everyone in IAG, I still see the fundamentals of a very good company once debt has decreased.
Any shareholder thinking they will get a pennies compensation from this is delusional . There isn't a single trading site that doesn't warn that the value of investments may rise or fall. Check my previous posts and you will see that I have been in and out of this share for years and lost a lot of money until I realised the only way out was short quick investments while the share was low then out when it rose. Hardly rocket science. This share was destroyed by Covid, Regal, Mooky, streaming , and interest rates . And what was the rooms responses to a sea of sh#t ... always the same, MIP will save us, Avatar will save us , Ironman, Spiderman Superman etc etc. The simple fact is, Greed got us all in on the promises of riches and Greed kept us in when we all should have read the signs well over a year ago. I eventually walked away wiith less than a hundred pounds profit, but at one point I was thousands down. Others have lost there homes, families and in some cases their lives. Good luck to everyone who survived and hopefully you will all rebuild and move on, but don't feed into this rubbish about winning compensation, it's just another BS sandwich Greed is offering as a late snack.
P.s My XRP is really screwing up my previous posts predictions and yes Greed is keeping me in :(
In the old days of Charlie Chaplin etc. the movie used to end with a fade to black and everyone would know to leave the cinema.
Cineworld has faded to black.
The dreams are over and it's time to walk home in the rain, a little wiser and a lot poorer, knowing that we all sat through a totally sh#t movie.
No one on here will get a my sort of refund , we all read the reviews and made a decision to pay for the ticket only to see people coming out of the other screens laughing and promising to return, because they chose the right movie.
Poorinvestor. If I sound immature then my parody of you is a success.
I'm so hungover but on the plus side .. in your face Snoorinvestor ... Ignore me, report me, block me but don't forget the advise I gave would have made you wealthier, which can't be said for anything you have ever posted in this room. . I called this share as a dead duck and I called XRP as the way to make back losses . Not only did I call it but I acted on my own brilliant foresight. If you've read this far, this is how you sound on all your postings aka a knob :)
Poorinvestor and Funinvestor have you seen the news on XRP, please read it ..and here is what I said well in advance .. boy was I ridiculed at the time but today but I'm sitting on a mountain of cash as my average was down to only 37c, I won't go into details but I'm off to buy a new car or maybe 2 ..................,

I bet I see $1.20 on xrp before anyone here sees £1 on Cineworld. I forgot I was supposed to stay out of here till I made my money back, so I’ll take the hint and go away, but I'll be back when I hit 1.20 and regain my cash. And all of you losers will hear one big massive "I told You So"....p.s Last time I looked I was nearly 10 points up on my .74 investment :) but let’s not gloat because I see trouble ahead for crypto with Russian sanctions etc. but not as much as I see for Cineworld and it's huge amount of baggage.
