The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
Cloud10, I think the more likely outcome is a takeover but who? I'm sure there are a few contenders but suspect they are waiting for developments such as their operational update for October. I feel saddened for the genuine investors there. ATB
As for QBT, I was not aware of the bankruptcy announced in August, so the award is one thing, payment another IMO. With only one insurance company providing any cover, it is difficult to see how much we will eventually receive. Let alone when! Any hidden assets won't be easy to find, and I'm concerned we are fully funded to the end of 2022, another 8 weeks! The market doesn't like it and we are way off FG's REPO figure of a tad over 3p by 15 December. Where is the cash coming from to keep going? Best chance may be our Mediapolis claim - if they get cold feet and don't go bust.
Today especially I think the BoE's announcement on the interest rate hike is not helping here, nor Putin, nor the various crises we are facing. Difficult times!! GLA, 600
Good morning SteamyWee, your response to SSB is very well put this morning. ATB
Could it be Block is behind the Conditional Subscription for Ordinary Shares - the LOI announced 7/10/2022?
According to Bloomberg, Perry has gone to Block.
Seems like we have been on a precipice where news is 'soon'. I hope so and maybe. A little top up just now of 26,373. However, I have a growing feeling that the longer we wait, the less we will see the SP rise. GLA, 600
Happytobemike, I agree, transission and processing data are two distinct areas but neither are in isolation. Needs a good marriage IMO. ATB
Well, I’m not sure we are even looking at this https://www.newscientist.com/article/2342833-chip-can-transmit-all-of-the-internets-traffic-every-second
Food for thought, 600
Interesting responses, so ta muchly. Yes, much has changed - outside of QBT. I think many here have historically liked to compare us to ARB but probably because of the way ARB rocketed, not on the fundamentals. I say fundamentals but really this is the difficult bit. What are our fundamentals? R&D with the goal of getting quantum computers to mine bitcoin? Much more, IMO. Lots of developments possible so lots of potential. Timing is not something to fret about. Hold your nerve and wait and see. One day …… GLA, 600
The simple answer is that nothing has changed with our fundamentals, at least not with what we have been told. We are still waiting. Waiting for THE NEWS. With the little ticks up in the last few days, sentiment is a bit brighter. The big question. Is this justifiable? The RIGHT news could send this where? Answers on a postcard, 600
II has 1.6 to 1.8 (up 6.67%). Tried dummy sells for 500k and it went up from 1.61 to 1.66. Add 9p and I might sell some. Roll on the day! GLA, 600
The 226107 was a definite buy, another top up for me while we wait, 600
22Starship22, with bitty behaving as she has over the last 12 months, the appeal of Bitcoin must have diminished.
Back on 25 March I posted "So, how can anyone value the company? Blockchain technology is massive and has an immense spectrum where it can grow. Generally, Web 1.0, 2.0, and 3.0 have each taken 10 years to develop and Web 3.0 is still on that journey. I’m not bothered about a few pence here or there. What I believe, is this will multi-bag and I haven’t got a clue how big a number that 'multi' will be. Sadly, just because I say this here, doesn’t mean it will happen! All IMO, please DYOR. Have a great day, weekend, and life all patient holders."
I still see the potential elsewhere. Crunching data faster than anyone on the planet has to add value here. I just hope the verification turns up trumps and ahead of the competition but the real deal is with quuantum computers - next year? ATB
Plenty of talk about ARB today. Hardly surprising since they have apparently been a benchmark for some here. I can’t help thinking the main reason was probably their SP rocketing in early 2021. Certainly not with its performance over the last 12 months. For me, Peter Wall’s journalist background and ability with videos was/is his forte. Brilliant when things were on the up, not so good on the way down. Although we might start mining bitcoin, I don’t see the need to while bitty is in the doldrums. Get ready but wait a while? Volatile and hard to predict in my book hence I’ve never invested in it, and not ever likely to. I do not see Peter Wall as our new NED, I think we need a finance man with possibly a strong record in crypto to capture crypto, should bitty take off again.
I would like to see FG moving into the many other areas where we could amass revenue streams. Sorry to bang on about it but if you have the tech to mine faster than anyone on the planet, why not apply that technology to the vast array of areas such as: -
• Retail + Logistics
• Security
• Health
• Banking and Financial Sectors
• Education
Again, I bang on about Web 3.0. I don’t want to miss out on this while we pursue mining bitcoin faster than anyone on the planet. Not forgetting we don’t know the full extent of who is in this race. Food for thought? ATB, 600
Another 140,000 QBT nuggets?
In an earlier post today, Badboxer said “If i was the professor i would ride it out a little longer with no rush to try and complete near the next crypto boom. Now that would be good timing”. Personally, I’m not sure that is the reason for the delay.
For now, I’ll stick to they need the verification completed. Another reason could be that that FG is waiting for the Sipiem Court case to be settled as he needs the cash to complete his REPO; remember his terms of employment means he gets 10% of the award? GLA, 600
It’s good to discuss notions like top slicing. I’ve said before that I want to top slice and leave the majority of my holding on a free ride. I’ve also thought I’d do this at 10p, assuming we hit 10p.
When I consider all the 10p options on offer, including a huge number for FG himself, it seems pretty likely IMO. Then there are the two NDA’s already signed, I’m pretty sure they know what is in store. Last but not least is the fact Eufingest/MCS have been happy to re-negotiate the finance on extremely favourable terms. 10p is a pretty safe bet IMO and soonish.
I suspect that there are a lot of PI’s and a few II’s waiting for news. That will push the SP into the top risers and FOMO will push it higher. The real money is IF we crack the quantum side of this. Then to are ALL the other data guzzling applications with Web 3.0. Impossible to guess how high but 10 to 12p seems pretty reasonable. GLA, 600
I don't worrk in IT. Does snybody know how you can post a screenshoit on here? I'd love to see it.
Suthy, I’m inclined to agree with you! I have never filtered anybody in the 12 years here. His post on 22 Sep 2022 08:02 Just took a nibble...... “So now no one can say that I am not invested.” He bought £80 worth - the first trade of the day. WOW. ATB
Eddies post at 22:49 on 3 October 2022, “Or you could be wrong and with profits on my other investments I took profits and took 3.5m last week and a further 1.5m this week and am now holding 5m on a free ride punt.” The total volume yesterday (this week?) was 2,841,554 so 1.5m would be every buy and some. Doesn’t add up to me, 600
I read this article last night and felt that PF may well be the right NED to have appointed last month. Isn’t this exactly his area? https://www.sciencealert.com/theres-a-new-quantum-computing-record-control-of-a-6-qubit-processor-in-silicon
“In this research, we push the envelope of the number of qubits in silicon, and achieve high initialization fidelities, high readout fidelities, high single-qubit gate fidelities, and high two-qubit state fidelities," says electrical engineer Lieven Vandersypen, also from the Delft University of Technology.
"What really stands out though is that we demonstrate all these characteristics together in one single experiment on a record number of qubits."
Up until this point, only 3-qubit processors have been successfully built in silicon and controlled up to the necessary level of quality - so we're talking about a major step forward in terms of what's possible in this type of qubit.”
This also feeds the thought that with two NDA’s already signed, FG has two deals with companies that once verification is completed, production of the chips will start. How long would it then take to get into production? That would then produce revenue streams, other than options and court case winnings. The news will surely boost the SP and then the revenue streams add. All IMO, 600
