I think you're right there. Our gas is likely to be less important on the big power stage the longer this goes on. Only way out for us down that route is a chinese buyout to keep the lights on whilst Hydro comes on stream. Chinese pretty much own large swathes of Africa now.
My only hope here is for a combination of some new customers, cng and Mr Foo's power wells all coming together to produce a big enogh exit spike. Hell I only need 20p a share to B/E. Don't hold out much hope on the first one based on track record

You need to be a bit careful here. A number of people on this BB, including myself, took part in that placing, based on promises and Regulated News Announcements only to find they had been lied to, yes lied to on several fronts.
Very difficult to butt out when you've just faced an immediate loss of 40%.

The point is, based on years of underperformance, dilution, missed targets, broken promises, unwarranted bonuses, ludicrously high salaries, shady drilling contracts, shady placings, share price devastation, lack of sales etc etc etc, one has to assume that either the board are totally incompetent or something more nefarious.

Read my post again. I didn't mention the market. Whilst most placings in VOG in recent years have been shady city deals at mates rates, at the time, most shares were in private hands.
I also don't doubt the company was on it's knees. Read my later post.

Mr Foo was in charge throughout that period running up to the near collapse so a cynic may consider whether he had a vested interest in the company's poor performance at that time. Irrespective it has always been a terrible conflict of interests since then. You can't just walk out of the boardroom at the point the decision is made by the board and not leave a nasty smell behind so to speak.

Jones made the point previously that Foo had stepped in to save the company from going under at the eleventh hour.
I wasn't invested at that time, but can anyone, who was at the time invested, recall whether or not PIs were given the opportunity to participate in a life saving placing, or was it just a grubby little opportunity to make shedloads for life?

Not sure if, with your 6 posts you are new to this bb or whether like Dr Who, you have regenerated. But what you fail to point out or maybe understand is that this is no longer an exploration company. As Mr foo has so often pointed out in the past, when defending the share price, we are now a utility company. Furthermore, a utility company which announced it had reached operational profit 4 years ago. And which, incidentally, still has the same number of customers roughly that it had then.
