Last time I looked that should have been a near 200% increase and would have been well deserving of a profit taking drop. You must have been very disappointed .

It can't have escaped your notice that the share rose considerably in the previous 2 opening sessions and started to drop in the later sessions yesterday. That smacks of a pattern to me.

As I predicted, starting to see gradual retrace with no further news on immediate horizon.
This share cannot sustain a rise in between news items with big gaps due to the lack of trust that has become entrenched.
Maybe management are starting to turn the corner but it's gonna take a lot more than just a long overdue and partial return of big power.
For those either deluded or ramper posters who have been going on about 40p, 50p £1 etc, sorry but you need a reality check.
So much needs to happen first, Westmed, insurance claim, Bassa, CNG, energy wells (lolol), industrial customers.

I certainly don't want to be seeing the usual one liner bull caca about Westmed this time around. It's worth nothing to us, only to the Russian oligarchs whose land and infrastructure surround it and who have the ear of Putin. Indeed it's draining our resources to the tune of 1 million pa so if we can't sell or outfarm it, get rid.

As a minimum the next update, due shortly incidentally should include substantive good news in these areas. Heaven knows, they've had plenty of time on their hands to get stuck in. As we used to say in sales. JFDI.

The Company intends to provide a comprehensive update of 2017 performance and outline the strategy for 2018, later this quarter"
On 16 February they said this:
"Management is expediting its support to manufacturers and producers in Douala, which are facing regular power disruptions, by providing bespoke gas fired power generation for individual customers or groups of customers. As most of these proposed power customers are already connected to the gas pipeline network, adding a gas to power generation solution will increase gas consumption with minimal additional capital costs for GDC. Furthermore, we are actively pursuing a Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) solution which will afford GDC the opportunity to reach some larger customers beyond the current pipeline infrastructure.
VOG has set an ambitious business strategy with gas sales targets building up to 100mmsc/d by 2021. The Board still believes that this target is achievable and that the demand for gas within Cameroon remains robust,

I predict the insurance claim will go the same way as Kermekol and more recently, Westmed. It will be mentioned in passing once again in the next 2 or 3 updates then be quietly dropped without any fuss.

Happy new year to you. You, like myself, have been around this stock long enough to know that good news comes in bite size chunks with big gaps in between, during which much of the good news spike is slowly eradicated.
This will only progress to new heights if and when we have waves of good news at regular intervals.

If we are now going to be trading profitably, as one might assume with resumption of big power, why do we need a big fund raise ? Certainly not for drilling. Yes we might need a few millions for the cng plant but if past experiences are anything to go by that wil probably be a year away and could be funded out of cashflow. If revenue from logbaba and in due course basa, isn't providing positive cash flow soon, then why are we doing it?

This was the final line in today's RNS:
"The management team has worked hard over the last 12 months to successfully diversify the product base and increase the number of clients and will continue to focus on this initiative."
It's good to hear that they have been so busy over the last 12 months. Not quite so good though that they haven't actually provided details on how this diversification is going. Perhaps another RNS update to come after Christmas. That gives the SP a chance to retrace in between news. Wouldn't want SP to run away would we?

Sorry but calls for 40p by close are just fantasy. Already seeing slight retrace on profit taking.
This will not fully rerate until we get a second wave of good news, hopefully in end of year update.
