AAT re No Deal27 Dec 2018 00:18
I agree. We can carry on as we are attached to a slowly rotting corpse kept alive only by our huge net contributions, or we can break free and yes, take an initial hit, but move on eventually to greater things.
It disgusts me every time I hear our meeley mouthed politicians trying to put the fear of God into us and portraying No Deal as the devil incarnate.
They are only managing to serve us up on a platter to the greedy and bullying Eurocrats.
Let's face it, even if we stay they will be so angry with us that we dared to consider leaving that they will go out of their way to punish us.
For us to hand over the best part of 40 billion when, if we waited a couple of years, the whole thing will go TITS UP anyway, starting with implosion of the PIGS countries, would be a criminal waste of money. Money, incidentally that we don't actually possess and would just increase our national debt.
The only thing about leaving that worries me is that our useless politicians haven't the talent nor vision to do what needs to be done after we leave.
