There is a danger that we confuse demand with shortage here. Just because there is a shortage it doesn't necessarily follow that this is matched by a demand. The demand is only the bit of the shortage that people want to do something about.

We desperately need an update which as a minimum shows a decent number of new customers and not just 0.2 mscuff customers. They're OK in large numbers but VOG don't do large numbers do they?

Certainly hope you are right and as the saying goes, "the only way is up". We certainly seem to be near the bottom now.
My only nagging worry is the apparent lack of need for our gas over a 12 month period without any major impact on the country. This goes very much against Mr Foo's oft quoted "unconstrained demand" statement which suggests Eneo, Cam Govt and local businesses should have been breaking down our doors to get connected.
Why haven't they I wonder?

It's ridiculous to dismiss genuine concerns as deramping. This company came close to going bust recently and is still in intensive care. When we get an up date stating positive news on gas sales, new customers, insurance claim and cng progress, that's when you can say any negative comments are deramping.
One might argue that this comment earlier, "Top of the leaderboard today" is ramping as it clearly won't happen, just like the supposed sustained rise over Christmas didn't happen.

Agreed. I just see Miranda as a potentially very expensive distraction at this time. What is the point in taking on such a massive additional resource when we can't yet sell more than a fraction of the gas from logbaba which is tiny by comparison.
We have to as a minimum drill one well within 2 years and quite apart from our appalling record on drilling, we need those 2 years just to recover from last year and build up from our small base.

Vog is a bit like me in my old age.

Expect the cost to rise to £40m with 6 month delays. and a snagged propellor.

I appreciate what you are saying but if, as you assert, that criminal activity has occurred alongside massive and seemingly unwarranted sale of company assets to the apparent detriment of LTHs, then surely waiting another 6 months will be sort of shutting the doors after the horse has bolted and left nothing more than a pile of dodoos in the stable.

Why do you feel that you must wait if you are so convinced criminal acts have occurred. Surely the easy route and indeed the moral route would be to refer the matter to FCA and/or The Fraud Squad?

It's a perforating gun and yes you correctly say that gas can flow around it with any material impact. I seem to recall when asked at the AGM, the expert said it would cost £2 million to remove it.
Not sure why though as surely there exists technology today to cut into smaller pieces using lasers and grabbers on cables.
In any case why should this be a cost to VOG I wonder? Surely the drilling company ie Savannah would have been responsible at that stage of the operation. Seem to recall the rig was removed some time after this happened.

I will remind you of that next week if the SP is still dropping. IE not a retrace but a steady decline without news.
If you are right the sp should be rising again on Monday.

SP fell 68% from 50p on the announcement in January, to Friday's close of 16p.
To get back to 50p would require a rise of well over 200%. Currently the rise is 50%.
Little way to go yet methinks.

Considering the news received and the huge drop since the Eneo loss was first announced, this is not a huge rise. It's not even to 28p, it's currently to 24p and dropping.
