RNS "Since January 2019 the Company has ceased to make any payments under the Royalty Agreement. The Board is in the process of reviewing the governing documents regarding the payment of royalties to CHL and the Company is not currently making any payments under the Royalty Agreement."
What exactly does this mean? It suggests to me that maybe they are looking for holes in the agreement which will enable them to cancel it. If they have stopped payments in advance of any decision this suggests they believe they have a very good case. In which case it could follow on that there could be a clawback on some of the payments made. I'm probably getting ahead of myself with bucketloads of wishful thinking but can anyone imagine this review ever even being considered whilst Foo was at the helm?

If you go back through the RNSs over the years, I don't recall VOG ever winning a litigation case, eg Kermekol, Grynberg. Which tends to make me think that they are just temporary shareholder appeasement exercises.
BTW is there no liability attaching to Savannah for the dreadful drilling campaign which helped bring the company to it's knees? Or is that too close to home for comfort?

So many uncertainties and disappointments in that. We are building up future liabilities and will get through that cash like a dose of salts. The only plus we could have hoped for was several new customers and what do we get? Two customers hopefully by the end of the year. That's nearly 8 months away for Christ's sake. Shocking. No surprise on insurance claim. We knew it would fail just like all blog's previous claims and litigation.

I'm coming round to the view that we should maybe just postpone brexit rather than cobble together an awful deal that gives no benefit for the UK.
Let's face it the whole EU superstate project is probably going to all go Tiits Up within a couple of years anyway. It's not as if there won't still be 28 trading countries there after the smoke blows away.

The Kabwe asset was always my dream retirement as well. Only difference is I wasn't expecting it to come via Jubilee.

As a lifelong Tory voter, I didn't vote this time around for the first time ever, in furious protest re brexit. Not that Labour can smirk. They are equally to blame. Keeping my powder dry for the Euro Elections and desperately hoping the two big parties don't stitch together a crraap deal just to avoid the Euros and save their own worthless skins.

If this was Africa I would suggest we have a whip round and pass someone a brown envelope to get a quick decision. But that doesn't happen in Europe. Does it?

Seriously though, I could almost forgive him his failings at the helm if he would only man up, admit it, explain the rationale and apologise to shareholders. I did say ALMOST.
As it is though that's unlikely to happen and unless it does, then as far as I'm concerned he deserves everything that may or may not come his way, good things excluded of course.

Ever since that RNS when AB laid all the cards on the table, I have oft wondered why he settled on a meagre £1m from the Aliscammy family. Ok MA was playing the Altzheimers card, (who knows it may even be true), but the £1m settlement was from the family as a whole and bearing in mind the huge sums they "stole" from us, I was very surprised at AB's casual attitude to the amount of the settlement. It was as if he was thinking, "Well at least this will start the ball rolling with lead and zinc and, frank;y, I can't be arsed with the distractions of legal action".
But what about the other directors at the time? Surely there had to be some complicity there or were they all just yes men? No he has played it very badly right from the start and it continued with the action against other associates, the proprietary leach process that wasn't, and the ACI refund. All hot air.

A low average being?? Please advise whereabouts you see the line one needs to cross to get their money back.
BTW I don't think I quoted you out of context. I merely picked up things you wrote which others also seem to have issues with. Perhaps the problem lies with how you compose posts if you don't want posters picking up on the contents.
