I'm more inclined to think the reason for the lows is a combination of overstaffing and high prices. They are caught in the middle between the discounters and the premiums. I can go in a number of stores in my home town and pick up all sorts of branded goods anything up to 50% cheaper than at Sainsburys. And I've lost count of how many times I've seen clusters of middle aged staff standing around chatting, even at fairly busy times. I still use Sainsburys to a degree but more out of convenience being less than a 10 minute wak away but have switched much of my weekly shopping to discounters and not just Lidl/Aldi either.

But whatever type, I agree with you that he has had his dosh back in spades

Believe me if I thought it would do me any good I would do. But I have bought on 11 or 12 occasions since 2010 and have always ended up worse off in the end. My only ever actual profit was when I sold a small amount outside of my ISA at 68p a few years ago. Yes 68p can you believe it?

Against my better judgement I topped up within the last hour and it's showing as a sell so I wouldn't place too much store in the 22m sells today.

Maybe not but at this early stage in our diversification, a licence refusal wouldn't stop the SP being obliterated.

I may be misreading the situation, or it may just be wishful thinking, but I can't help thinking there's going to be a massive announcement soon. Either a big sale and restructuring or a takeover.
That would certainly explain the drift in recent months and let's face it you're not going to pay a million squid golden hello and loads of share options plus a golden goodbye package to a new leader if he's only going to be there a short while.
