Dogger. Surely they would be more concerned about SP fluctuations than currency fluctuations. If labour win, this will tank. If Tories win it will rise. Wouldn't have thought the currency fluctuations would be quite as wide.

Interesting news articles recently showing massive droughts in parts of Africa including Zimbabwe. Articles show the Zambezi at such low levels that Victoria Falls is mostly dry. It refers to hydro-electric plants being closed as a result.
Not sure how Cameroon is affected but you would think a company like VOG would be hoovering up the business.

On Q3 update, rang VOG last week to see when it would be coming out. Got fobbed off by receptionist who said someone would call back. Didn't of course.
Assume it's a small serviced office with a receptionist for the whole building.

Seriously though I'm not sure our future is entirely in JLP's hands. I am fairly certain I will make lots of money from my JLP shares but even if that happens, I'm not at all certain I'll make ANY money from my BMR shares.

It was indeed true as stated by VOG several years ago. More to the point it will soon be 2 years since Foo told us his Russian Visa was in hand in readiness for a visit to sort out a sale of the asset.

Jed, are you overstating the value of our mince pies to us or are the figures you quote incorrect?
3 million pies = 500,000 boxes with a retail value of £500k and a wholesale value to us considerably less. Take off production costs and we're barely paying for the electricity on those figures.
3 million mince pies doesn't sound a lot. Are you sure that's the correct figure.

Holding long here and the only reason for not buying even more is that most of my fingers were badly burned on buying sprees in BMR and VOG.
Sure JLP is NOT BMR NOR VOG but once bitten and all that

Anon - re your point about creaming off the top, there's the government's share, then Grynberg, then Foo's royalty. True not currently being paid but in the event of a successful claim against us, we are FOOKED. Then there's the payments to locals and to various companies, let's not forget Foo's daughter being on the payroll at one time with her website work, then there's the massive salaries and the cheap share options.
Problem is, with so much cream being skimmed off the top, the only way this company will ever reward shareholders is by selling absolutely humungous amounts of gas. And the Catch 22 is that to get to that point, a lot more debt and dilution will be incurred first.
