Sumo - there was a hint of lightheartedness in my post, although it's fair to say that successive placings have held back the SP in the last year or two.
Nonetheless I remain very positive about where we are going and hope the recent slight tick up is a precursor for some very good news this year.
I guess we just get a bit impatient when we see the company doing well but don't see it reflected in the SP compared with established Div paying shares

Re a buyout, God I hope so. A number of posters on BMR seem to think it will eventually be worth a lot to patient shareholders once JLP have recovered their costs. I am inclined to think that with Borrelli in charge we are unlikely to ever see a penny from the royalty.
See my last post under BMR to get a flavour of how I'm feeling about the £22k of my kids' inheritance that has gone in directors' wages. Thankfully I spread my bets and have a decent wedge in JLP. Others were not so lucky.

Bryn - that's just a small part of it. He started off by hoovering up share options for the directors representing around 10% of the then value of the company.
Let's not forget the proprietary method of leaching the tailings. As far as I'm aware there was never any application to patent the method and as we all know, it turned out to be a load of bullcaca.
Let's also not forget the actions against former associates. Eventually only one was completed and we weren't even told who or how much.
Let's also not forget the tie up with ACI and the 12 month "battle" to get the drawdown when it was obvious even to a blind beggar that ACI had walked. BTW did we ever get the money back we were owed?
Let's also not forget giving away several assets for a song including most of Kabwe. Was there not also an asset sold for a fraction of it's previous cost a year or so earlier? Can't remember.
Let's also not forget the incompetence of not renewing and therefore forfeiting the mining licence.
Then there's this new project in a different continent and totally unrelated to our raison d'etre.
One has to ask is it possible for a board of directors to be so unbelievably incompetent?? Which begs the question???????
If they were doctors treating us or builders doing an extension, we would have a very good case to sue the arrses off them. AIM is corrupt.

Jed - alternatively, it could indicate that full year results are going to be pretty special. We live in hope.

Re Hydro - yes but very unreliable in dry season and due to population increase.
Apparently 70% of electricity produced goes to the mining sector and the rural population can go whistle.
Hopefully though the Government will want to ensure a seamless supply to mining sector to maximise their own income from the sector.

Juicy. Not sure what that has to do with our mining project as it's not a fossil fuel issue, although it does highlight very significantly the mindset of the current shower in charge of Sweden.

Perhaps I'm being a bit thick but why exactly does the calling of an EGM automatically mean liquidation of BMR?

The trouble with VOG is that, notwithstanding all the other very costly problems that have beset us over the years, there remain 2 massive elephants in the room.
The business has seen some progress this year with costs trimmed and increased sales. Ordinarily you would expect this to be reflected in the share price. And yet it has halved in the less than 6 months since the AGM when the directors were telling us the already terrible SP was due a resurgence.
The first elephant is the work and drilling programmes for Matanda and the second is the potential for Foo to win his royalty case. Either (or both) of these has the potential to either sink us or as a minimum decimate LTH share value through massive dilution.
Add that to your daily list Banjo.

Mr.B - Not sure when you sold out but if you were around when the original power station contracts were announced then I would suggest the term "mega $$" is perhaps overblown.
For me there have been 10 too many disappointments so if the paperwork is completed and we see any sort of a spike, I'm outta here.

On the point of the last 2 posts, do I recall from some time back that the licence must be owned by a Zambian registered company, which can be a subsidiary?

In fairness Nick, we all had plenty of opportunity a year or so back to de-risk our BMR holdings by buying some JLP shares. Most who bought at that time should now be showing a modest profit, even after the recent fall in JLP shares.
