Especially if they don't take them up. But in this case, you would be freeing up lots of potential profit for dividends which would otherwise have gone in interest charges. Yes there are fees but restructuring large debts also comes with hefty fees.

Nickel. A placing and a rights issue would both achieve the same result ie make funds available for debt reduction. Both come with high fees and costs. Only difference is one screws over LTHs and the other rewards them. Know which I'd choose.

Pyueck - did PFD not announce just a week or so ago that they shortly expect to go below EBITDA 3.0 alongside rising sales? Surely debt is gradually becoming less of a talking point.
Although as regards a rights issue, I for one would certainly support a rights issue to existing holders at a discount to clear or substantially reduce the debt .

And still we wait! Well over 5 months now since the last twitter communication and we have been in total limbo without a clue as to what, if anything, our chairman/CEO is doing for us.

Msn - Not sure what you were expecting. It's just a 3 month trading update and as regards the SP fall, to quote a phrase, "there are lies, damned lies and statistics".
The drop falls into the statistics category and their quality is based entirely on the input.
ie Whilst there may have been a 4% drop over 1 day, that still leaves a 15% increase over 8 days. I'll take that any day

Not expecting too much on the SP today. Trading results probably already factored in to recent rise. Love to be wrong though

Only disappointment was international sales but it's not a huge percentage of sales and I wonder if the huge cost of marketing in this area is justified on-going.

Could it be that's the way the Swedes are going to take it. 77m SEK is a fairly cheap get out to get rid of a British, former EU company, leave it a couple of years then team up with a Swedish company to exploit the metals.
Re Subtle's comment, I think the SP effect would be considerably less than if we get the go ahead.
