Correct and with very little volume. In contrast to that we would be in a better position if it was being dragged lower in order for large volume fill orders to be met, with the SP recovering late on to finish flat. This is not happening and is a concern.

Like I have said time and time again on this BB, we don't need a takeover to better the MC offer ie 70p. Just over a year ago we were at 57p and had there been no profit warning we would have been over 60p and if Oasis start to buy and Nissin top up, not even to threshold we will hit 70p. This could happen with weeks after results.

would Nissin want Oasis to become the largest shareholder? what are PF and Nissin aware of that could create a situation in which Oasis would want to buy more than 15% of the company? is this ''thing'' the reason why GD is still in this job?

you are right, there is nothing stopping Oasis from buying, but the maximum they can hold is 15%.

GD is in the job and is not being sacked because the board agree with what he is trying to do with the company, but appreciate it is taking longer to achieve. What is in the pipeline must cause the SP to reach the levels offered by Mc Cormick and from there it is all about Nissin topping up to just under 30%. I personally believe if Nissin even bought 1% more shares above 65p, we could see the SP surge. Not to mention Oasis can buy upto 15% of the company, why has a restriction been put on the amount they can buy?

I think if we here nothing in the next 2-3 weeks, we can assume the results will be ok. They are expected to pick up after Q2 and be be flat upto that point. Unless we have a real hot October/November we should be ok.

Anything other than a profit warning will do. This time last year the SP was rising on the back of ''anticipated stability''. Indeed, the SP did not rise to 57p because of the prospect of profit forecasts rising, rather that profit warnings werea thing of the past.

What we can now say is if the weather forecast for next week is correct we will have had a favourable start to September. I appreciate the posts suggesting PF should stop blaming the weather, however, all we should be concerned with is the fact we may now head to 60p in the run up to results.

But making changes costs money, something which PF do not have. The brands need investment and what we are seeing with Batchelors is only because of the Nissin interest in entering the UK market. Who would invest in Ambrosia?

Even if a bid was made now, an offer of 65p would seem good value and be accepted. However, a year ago in the run up to the results the SP hit 57p and would have gone even higher if the weather did not cause a profit warning. If the weather in September is average, along with a cold start to October, we can be +60p anyway. Then we have other factors like a strong christmas, Hovis improvement etc. No reason why we can't better a bid price by Christmas.

You are spot on mate!!! Yes the SP will double at some point. But from what? From £1 to £2? from 90p to £1.80 or from £1.20 to £ 2.40?

Agree with your post and they deserve credit for trying so hard and being effective in situations where matters are " in there hands". However, 2 days into September, the weather has been warm and if it continues throughout the month or even worse a warm start to October, than we could see a profit warning. This is because all these new product rangesombined could not " take up the slack".
