I agree, where can any good news come from? Unless there is some sort of offer for Hovis. The SP could however, increase after results like it did in the run up to results last year when it hit 57p. This is because the markets may feel with further Nissin involvement and new products from Bisto, profit warnings may be a thing of the past.

We cannot really expect positive news with the results relating to sales, as PF have already said they do not expect them to pick up until after Q2. However, as we have not had a profit warning, there is no reason why we cannot see the sort of rise post results which saw the SP hit 57p, before the profit warning. We cannot really expect too much from the rollout of Nissin products. What would boost the SP: 1. Hovis news 2. Nissin build up to 29.9% 3.Oasis build to 15%

With Nissin holding less than 20 % of shares, this does not make a Mc Cormick bid impossible, 29.9% would. However, if they were interested they would have bid by now, why wait and see Nissin dig further in with cooperation deals with PF which could see the SP rise eventually. That being said, you cannot rule out Oasis topping upto 15% and selling to a third party.

Looking at the low volume it is clear that not only are Nissin not interested, nor are Oasis or anyone else. With the SP at under 40p, surely now is the time for these companies to be topping up. In contrast, Shire Healthcare received a takeover bid yesterday from their biggest shareholder, for less than they had bought their 29.9% stake. The morale of the story is, Nissin are not going top bid for the company.

Does anyone know how low this share has been in the past, there was a rights issue a few years go at 10p, did it ever drop to that price?

May now begin, it was 42p last week, but each day upto today has been a "knife edge" with the threat of a profit warning. Today's RNS effectively puts that threat to bed and if last year is anything to go by, there is no reason why the SP cannot hit 57p again.

That I all we can do, I have been accused so many times of talking up this share, but am as frustrated as anybody with this ''scum of a share''. It kills me to see Tesco to fall below �1.50, Pets at Home, the AA, Stagecoach all about �1.50 ish at some point, others to follow like DFS, William Hill,. Ladbrookes could fall below �1, Mothercare is below �1. Yet were all tied up with this scum!!!
