I think ''what is best'' will be decided by the British Public in a General Election sometime soon. Personally, we could do a lot worse than a coalition government again like the Tories/Lib Dems of 2010. However, this time it may be Labour/Lib Dems in a pact with even the new Independent Group holding the balance of power.

You get what you pay for!!! On the Continent the Railways are subsidised and hence higher taxes. We in Britain don't like paying high taxes, me included, that is why since 1979 we have voted in the Conservatives most of the time.
That is going to change, as early as this year, with Jeremy Corbyn getting in and policies like paying under 18's £10 an hour are only going to help him more. To be honest would you like to do the same work as somebody older than you and get half the wage?

Agree with the point you are making about paying the ''going rate.'' However, most people in this country feel the railways are failing and many have short memories. Many people think Corbyn would turn public transport in this country into something similar to what we see in France etc. Many people are willing to pay the subsidies like the French public do, make no mistake, public transport in France is superb so are the railways.

If Centrica does not sort itself out over the next decade, nationalizing it would be as about as difficult, as ''nationalizing Debenhams.''

There is no danger of even the process of Nationalization of the Energy Companies beginning for at least the next 10 years, in the event of a Jeremy Corby victory.

It must be noted, Jeremy Cornyn cannot win an overall majority and hence he would only get in via a coalition. This ''coalition'' would only cooperate on the basis of no Nationalization's within the life of parliament ie 5 years.

If Labour then get in on their own with a clear majority, the first ''Nationalization Target'' will be the Railways, to be honest, they are already ''part nationalized'' as the track is state owned.

It is more likely to be a bid target at £3 than £2!!! Which may sound crazy, but a suitor would be willing to pay £4.50 a share ie. a 50% premium to the £3 share price, than buy now. This is because WH has so many ''little acorns'' but none have germinated. Buying at even £1.50 a share, assuming a £1 SP at the point of bid would be a huge gamble. This company has to prove its worth.
