I recognise that it can often be annoying when placings are announced but lets put this into context.

The SP was below 2.25p on Monday, when they would have arranged this placing, so this was never a heavily discounted raise, it only looks this way given the sp performance this week.

The best run companies raise when there is SP strength and i think we can all look at companies that have not done that. They could have raised two weeks ago which would have been highly dilutive, so I'm not really bothered about the raise at all, as I'm taking a longer term view here.

I suspect next week this will be all forgotten.

No sorry i got that wrong. Total voting rights have increased from 478m to 734m as a result of the placing shares, too quick to respond. Afzal added 6m shares

WRONG! I don't normally post on here but lets stop this straight away.

Look at the number of shares he owns not the percentage of shares in issue. Last percentage did not take account of the placing shares.

24th Feb - 478m
6th March - 734m

So he has bought 256m shares.

Same here. There is no record of my 4m ceb shares on halifax either and also there is no record of any of my share deals in the last 6 months. they will be getting a rocket on Monday morning.

I've just bought BG, didn't even go to NT.
